I’m gonna plan on coming, but I financially can’t buy the tickets right now. Which does kinda suck since they’re so cheap. But so it goes.

They've been saying for a while that it was only going to be 4 years. Sad still.

    Saosin was worth the wait!

I told myself I was gonna wait this year until the lineup was released. Marketing genius to post this while I'm riding the high. I'll be back for one more time.

I’ve regretted not going the past three years so next year it is! I usually take my yearly vacation in October so it works out quite nicely.

I’m having a great time, but I am real ready to not smell pot for 6-8 business weeks at minimum. My allergies are going absolutely nuts with how often it’s being blown in my face today. It’s so much more prevalent this year.

Really small crowd for Head Automatica

Meanwhile the shed is going nuts for Gorilla Biscuits

They were such an odd booking in general, but also specifically for this line-up. They should’ve played before like Saosin at best, too. Headline the Pond maaaaaaaybe.

Turnstile laid waste to everyone else. Anthony Green sang on Alien Love Call

It's usually my birthday weekend (9/25), but I guess I'll let you have it next year

I remember them mentioning it might get moved to October because Riot might get pushed back a week, but I forget the reason why Riot would have to move.

We reach for the longest shadow

It’s really unfair to other bands how good Turnstile is. Just the most commanding stage presence and they sound absolutely perfect. Best band.

Today was insane. So many California bands today and they all crushed. Zero issues. Such an amazing sense of community today. Might be my favorite FF day out of these last 3 years

Mindforce, Drain, High Vis, Militarie Gun, Trash Talk, Gorilla Biscuits, and Turnstile all absolutely destroyed. What I was able to catch of Enter Shikari and Scowl was solid too. Might be the single best day I've ever done at a major festival.

I also ran into Jordan Buckley today and he was a delight to chat with for a sec!

There was some discussion in the Riot Fest thread about the possibility of Riot moving back a week to not conflict with the Mexican Independence Day celebrations in Chicago, but that was all idle speculation. If there’s talk about that from people who actually know, very interesting.

Also possible that one of the fests got a headliner that couldn’t do the usual dates, but who knows.

As an aside, the main reason I’ve never done Furnace Fest is that it’s too close to Riot, but if there’s a bit more time in between and the lineup is right…

Anyone else just completely destroyed? And today is my most anticipated day, haha. Not sure I’m gonna make it in time for Callous. Not gonna survive until Haste the Day without some serious coffee.

Mindforce was great, as mentioned the singer had me dying laughing.

Drain was the set of the day. Never see anything like that in real life.

Caught a bit of Zulu and a bit of High Vis

Monitor guy going “so there’s no guitar?” before MSPAINT was hilarious.

MG killed it. Dudes such a good frontman.

saw Casey Thursday night in Philly. Maybe like 100 people there? But they killed it!

I think they put Casey and Better Lovers on the wrong stage/times, honestly. But I’m excited for both no matter what.
