I’m surprised how into the songs everyone is. To me they are both good but nothing special. I enjoy One More Time because I have a soft spot for acoustic blink, but the lyrics and music video are so damn corny. I like More Than You Know probably best out of the 3, but it doesn’t sound like something that would have been out of place on Neighborhoods or DED. Kinda similar vibes as Natives or When We Were Young (which I do like both of those songs)

 

Let’s not forget the power of the Kardashian bump. I think 150k is the mark but would love to see sales push closer to 200k. Note sure if any other albums are coming out on the 20th but should be #1.

I love that there's so many songs left that we don't know anything about. Like "Fell in Love" or "Terrified." We have no idea. It's fun.

 

Fell In Love we do know Robert Smith has some sort of credit on.

 

I said I was trying my best to not listen to the songs until the album comes out, BUT I listened to the two new songs last night. One listen, with the OMT music video and the MTYK lyric video. I was too curious to wait until October. Both songs are fantastic.

I already deleted them from my pre-saved album because I know I will listen to them all non-stop. We'll see how long I can wait to listen to them again

The Rolling Stones first "original" album in decades. I still think blink will do better in the US, while in places such as the UK I don't see it happening.

 

Not trying to ruffle any feathers but my (somewhat un-educated) prediction is this is going to shit on California's numbers.

 

I was going back through the Instagram clips for this exact reason. "Turn This Off" was the one that was a double-time punk beat with Tom going "If you're too sensitive..." I think "Terrified" was the one that had some sort of cool electronic type beat going on but still sounded pretty aggressive. Otherwise, I have 0 clue what any of the others sound like lol.

 

I'll be pretty shocked if it does over 186,000 first week. Could see it having a higher end total, but Cali was one of the top ten selling albums of 2016. 125-150 would be incredible. Haven't seen any projections yet. But streams and pre-orders should be very nice.

(The last Green Day album did 48,000 first week.)

I mean Olivia Rodrigo did 300k, as much as Cali is really best case. There's a ceiling on rock in general

 

Which is weighted heavier into chart calculations, streams or sales? I assume sales which is why the Stones will obviously win.
