Hey y'all, so I have a friend that said they MIGHT be able pick up some records for me if they can get extras but it's not guaranteed......so if anyone going HAPPENS to pick up an extra Chasing Victory or Hopesfall and if you're looking to sell i MIGHT? be in the market. Like I don't wanna say plz get me this and my other hookup comes through and then I'd have no reason to buy yours. But if you are just happening to buy an extra can you maybe pm me and see if I'd be willing to buy? If I don't need IM SURE you'll find a buyer whether its here, discogs, reddit, VC, etc.

I'd be so in on the Free Throw show if it was 3 or 4 bands, but 5 is really pushing it especially since Free Throw doesn't go on until 10:30

 

First year since the revival that I wont be making it. Sitting with my dad in hospice care through his final few days.

He would have loved Furnace Fest. Even though 70s rock/country was more his bag, he drove me out of town to countless shows growing up before I could drive. As Cities Burn, Underoath, Emery, Maylene and the sons of disaster, norma jean, Relient K. He loved all music no matter what it was and passed that onto me. Y'all throw a mosh and have a beer for me and my old man this weekend.

 

Sorry for all you’re currently going through and feeling. Honor it and love through all of it.

 

Did anyone pick up their wristbands today and get trading cards? What'd y'all get? I got Drain, Anberlin, It Dies Today, Saosin, Haste the Day, Norma Jean, and A Plea for Purging.

 

You got some absolute bangers. I have the random ones I got from 2021 and 2022 somewhere.

I’ll get my wristband at the gate tomorrow. Couldn’t afford to come down a night early.

 

If they end up selling full sets of those cards after the fest, I'd totally get one. They're actually very well made and on solid cardstock.

 

They don’t. There’s a whole exchange thing post-fest in the Facebook group as people try to track the ones they’re missing.

Packing now, but I’ll be wearing a grey hat that says “radically inclusive” every day with either a Thrice, Taylor Swift, or mewithoutYou black shirt. My name (obviously) is Garrett and I’m pretty much always down to chat and hang out during bands. Just say hi. I’m doing the whole fest solo and just enjoying the vibe and bands. I truly love this weekend. It feels unique and special.

I think someone here stood next to me the entirety of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and never mentioned it last year until after the day, which is why I want to say it out loud here now, haha.

 

I’ll definitely keep an eye out. I’m working the morning shift with Croux Saturday, so I guess I’ll have on their shirt, probably my Dynamic Discs hat. I’ll be there until BTBAM on Sunday as well.

 

That As Cities Burn final show conflict with BTBAM hurts so much.

 

I remember seeing you during Five Iron or Squad Five O I think last year and was gonna say something but I’m a Georgia fan and you were in your Vols hat and I just couldn’t do it.

That was the day we beat Florida, you could’ve celebrated the downfall of a mutual enemy!

 

Yeah kind of disrespectful to have this festival in the southeast on such a meaningful CFB day. I’ll definitely be checking in on Auburn pretty frequently.

 

thankfully, the Vols have an out of conference game that day (and I don’t have high hopes all of a sudden, lol, but my season tickets are some of my favorite things because of how much I enjoy my time with my friends and family I take with me) this year. even so, there’s quite a few big games across the league.

last year, I remember watching the news can wait (I think that’s their name) with a bunch of Vols fans wildly refreshing the score as the game came down to the final play. sec fans always find a way.

 

I was at Coheed weekend before last watching Bama lose and Auburn kicked off 30 minutes before Coheed finished. It was really a perfect day for me, Bama lost, Auburn won, and I went to a Coheed show.

 

love it. Tennessee beating Bama last year is a top ten all time memory for me. what a day, what a game.
