More Than You Know feels like 2 or even 3 songs kinda glued together on first impression

 

I think that's why I like it, it keeps you on your toes. haha.

At first the bridge of "More Than You Know" reminded me of "Violence", but now I'm actually being reminded of AFI's decemberunderground

 

I can't wait to get to the gym tonight and throw on MTYK. That double bass drum in the chorus gets me so amped up.

 

I was thinking strong Violence vibes too for pieces of MTYK.

 

Stoked we got Edging as the first drop. Felt triumphant, fun, and endlessly replayable. The two from today really show the range an have my interest peaked on the rest of the songs. Great rollout, the hype has been through the roof and consistent since their announcement. Pretty unreal to have a release date, video, and two new songs.

 

I remember that clip from the studio of the prechorus into chorus with the double bass

 

Oh baby baby babyyyyy. Finally got to listen. OMT brings back all the Blink memories while MTYK brings the best AVA/NINE influences. OMT will grow on me. MTYK IS UNREAL….

 

The first thing that came to my mind was the piano intro of “I Feel So”

 

More Than You Know on really good headphones is too good. The layers in that chorus: the driving rhythm, double bass, mark’s harmony, some synth… give me more and more and more please

 

One More Time has 1 million views on Youtube in 7 hours and #11 trending video on Youtube for music.

 

Started the day with the One More Tine video and told my wife I will probably tear up. Of course I did. I look over and it could be the post partum hormones but she’s balling and says “I didn’t expect blink 182 to make me cry today but here we are”.

On a lighter note - our one month old was fussy this afternoon. I’m doing a discog relisten and on Cheshire Cat.
Dancing around to Just About Done had her cracking up! Not sure if that is good parenting, bad parenting or best parenting.

 

This! Was listening to it on my AirPods Max and loved the effects at the verses

 

It’s been a long time since I’ve been genuinely anxious before new music dropped. i’m so happy for the band and OMT is a perfect present for a long time fan. What a slam dunk.

Wonder how much of this feels like a true continuation of untitled.

 

Fuck. Listened earlier today but got pulled into work shit. Rewatched at home with the wife and kids and MAN, the emotions.

The piano and singing the 3rd verse together in OMT. The throwback scenes. The nostalgia and photos. Literally can't stop having goosebumps. This is the comeback we wanted in 2009. LFG!!!

And more than you know.... I don't even have to say it. Tom is back. Had some Boxcar in there and full evolution of the band.

Bravo. This is gonna be maybe...one of their best albums. Tom may be right haha

 

I’ve got both of these on repeat after work and fuck me… just so so good. I didn’t know if these guys had a song like MTYK in them anymore, and I’m so happy to be proven wrong. What a fucking band

 

Also if the “this is not our album cover” is actually the digital cover, I will 100% be swapping that out on Apple Music for the pink cover lol

 

Yeah, MTYK is blowing my mind more each listen. It feels so utterly unreal to hear a new Tom chorus like that.

 

Agreed. This song feels like the Tom I always loved and thought we had lost. So happy

I love the both songs I couldn't stop my tears after One More Time.
More Than You Know is probably the hardest blink song. Ohh man, and there are so many layers out there - switching from Airpods Pro to Sony WH-1000XM4 make you realise it.
And then I re-listened to the Box Car Racer album. I will listen to When Your Hears Stops Beating now.
I can't wait to hear the new album

 

I like the idea of OMT more than the execution. The connection many of us have with this band is undeniable and it’s beautiful to see them heal, publicly, through a song. BUT. That song isn’t *that* good.

MTYK is cool. It’s feisty and spastic and fun. Enjoyed it in the car and hope to appreciate it more with good headphones on.

Still stoked for blink.

 

I admit- I'm a fan boy and have no complaints. Just goosebumps and happiness.
