Tom's yells give me hope there may many more moments where he channels his post-hardcore, Fugazi influences in the remaining tracks.

 

I didn't say it's "unrelatable" to a general listener. I said it would be "super resonant" to the die-hards. I said it earlier, it's just a really special mile marker for the band and their legacy to so directly talk about their own history in a song.

They crush at tackling intensely hard topics for the masses.

Then they also released More Than You Know? Holy hell that is so power packed I got Stockholm vibes. This is insane.

I knew it’d be good, but not THIS good. How do I only listen once..?

one more time doesn’t do much for me.
i love tom’s yelling in more than you know and the layered vocals at the end.
edging remains one of my favourite songs they’ve done and makes me feel the most out of the three.
this is finally my favourite fucking band again.

 

Doing my best to not listen to the two new songs until the album comes out. But all of these positive messages makes it SUPER hard not to give in

 

I’m gonna overplay these 3 songs so much in the next month.

Idk I think it will be interesting to see if all these positive opinions still remain once the hype dies down. I just don’t think OMT is a very good song lol.

 

MTYK is the real highlight here which gives me a bit of Untitled level of energy. These two songs fit well together but I do now feel like EDGINGs a bit out of place musically compared.

 

One More Time is okay, it’s not a banger like I Miss You but the story behind it lift it so much higher. I love how simple the song is so the lyrics can really shine. I like it. And MTYG is just blink 182 perfection in 2023. I can’t imagine not loving that song, it’s just fucking brilliant in every way.

 

Hell yeah, Tom’s voice is so iconic on More Than You Know. Banger. One More Time made me reflective on years past and want to call/hug all my oldest friends. From that perspective, the song is perfectly executed.

But for real, I love MTYK. What a slam dunk! I enjoy One More Time as well but I probably liked the video more than the song. Actually teared up a few times

Yeah, I don't really see "One More Time" topping anyone's list, but that's fine. It's a nice, meaningful song for what it's supposed to be given the context. The post-chorus is so catchy though.

 

The fucking bridge on More Than You Know is so damn good.

Can’t believe they didn’t include the dorito bag on the new video

 

A bit mixed on One More Time after several listens. It's fine, but listening to it without watching the video reduces the emotional impact quite a bit, which is understandable. I will say it's a bit more of an ear worm than initially expected. It'll likely grow on me.

More Than You Know sounds like it came from the Untitled writing sessions, so it's basically an instant classic for me. I'm kind of shocked in the best way by this one.
