Does Travis sing the on and on bit at the end of the bridge on more than you know aswell??

 

More than you'll know is an egregious amount of callbacks stuffed into a song that sounds entirely fresh and new. Mark's verses and lyrics are like a slowed-down Hearts All Gone. Tom's indiscriminate shouts are like First Punk Show. Travis's Latin beat out of nowhere call back to Enema era. THE DOUBLE BASS. It's wild because we have gotten plenty of teases, but when it is all smashed together it is pretty unreal.

Tom's line at Coachella "YOU CAN'T DO WHAT WE DO" knowing the heaters they have ready to go.

 

Oops I missed my 10:30 meeting because of all of the excitement lol

 

I was late for my 10am. Whatever. What will I remember more?

 

The way they sing “And I know that next time ain’t always gotta happen…” is such a good moment

 

So glad this album rollout is technically super short. Can't wait

 

And to think this has been in the works since early 2022 or even 2021? I'm really craving some studio footage

 

My wife noticed my goosebumps, I didn't have much to say, but they said it all.

But it's been 20 minutes and I still have them. Chronic

"decide 1 or 2 songs" lmaooo the corporate stooge tease on the fake calendar.

Getting both today is pretty rad. Shows the range we are going to get. What is wild is the majority of the teasing has been 2-4 songs. There are like 12 or so songs we have no reference for.

 

I love that too. "Dance With Me", "Anthem Pt. 3" and "You Don't Know What You Got" are the only ones we have a clue about.

Also cool (and not surprising) that the three songs we've gotten so far are a 50/50 split between Tom and Mark. And the three other clips are also both guys at least singing harmonies.

 

I'll never forget watching the One More Time... video and then going right into More Than You Know,
and hearing how slow it starts, thinking "No! Not two somber songs!" and then BOOM! hit in the face
with a badass new blink riff, pedal to the metal. So badass! what a combo this morning. We are lucky.

 

Those clips all sound so fucking good too.

This album is really going to be something

 

MTYK is awesome. Progressive and classic blink at the same time. I also get Dreamwalker vibes from some of the melodies?

 

OMT works a lot better with the video, just watched it. only recognise about half the clips lol but yeah the montage bit got me pretty good

The untitled house in the video gave me chills

 

Well I’ve been crying for the last hour!

 

You know, I was digging the music video references, but honestly the sections with TRL and the Untitled house gave me the most nostalgia.

 

That was the bit that made me go 'Holy Shit!'

 

Two different perspectives going on with OMT. When I watch the video, I get emotional over the blink friendship/band dynamic. When I listen to just the song, it's completely introspective.

 

I didn’t love the song, the video was good and can appreciate the presentation and what the song is about.

 

I think what's wild to me is comparing the honesty and vulnerability of it to anything on Neighborhoods. Not a single song on that record was (directly) about the breakup/reunion. Even if a song or two could be interpreted to be about it, the lyrics were so abstract and ambiguous that it might as well not even be about anything at all.

Maybe this song was too on-the-nose for some people, but it just goes to show how much they truly glossed over everything before while now they are actually comfortable with each other again.

 

Anyone else hear it as "Wait for the fuckery!" haha
