This is what I thought as well, but upon further examination... I don't think thats what the demo is. 98% sure it's a demo of the song "On Letting Go" which must have had the working title Devils Song. I hope I am wrong though

given that we know what became 'devils song' on avalon was originally concieved within the group as a circa song, I'm 100% sure it will be a demo of devils song.

I didn't realize that there was already On Letting Go (Demo) on that track list, so you could be right. Just the way other songs are listed on the track list...

I Wanna Live (Living Together Demo) 2:57
Ace of Base (The Greatest Lie Demo) 3:28
    Salsa (Mandala Demo) 3:09
Sexy Groovy (Close Your Eyes to See Demo) 2:52
Devils Song (On Letting Go Demo Version) 4:40

just the way the write it makes it seem like what I said. Guess it could be either way

Just busting your balls. I just don't know where I'd be without hearing OLG 10 years ago. So good

Same. Huge influential album for me. Also wish they'd do an album with Brian mcteran again. He made those layered guitars sing

I thought the consensus on Mcteran was he was bad? Everyone always complains about the thrice and Emarosa albums he's worked on. I personally love his work on Juturna.

The aesthetic on Juturna/OLG certainly suits this band better than the heavily-compressed, clipped, radio-targeted production on BSN. With that being said, I'm sure there are other producers who could've done a better job of it than McTernan.

I'm not a big vinyl guy, but I downloaded a rip of the OLG LP and now I never listen to the CD anymore. Despite a lot of surface noise on the vinyl, the digital master sounds muddy as hell by comparison - it's probably the starkest difference between CD vs. vinyl I've ever heard, in fact (especially when focusing on the vocals and cymbals). I guess that indicates OLG's muddy sound may be more the fault of the mastering engineer than McTernan, but someone who actually does or studies this stuff for a living could probably elaborate.

I am kinda indifferent on him. I love his work with Circa, and I like Emarosa's Versus. But at the same time, I feel like there's a lot of better options than him.

whatever he did for circa was very good imo. the other stuff he does is by bands I don't care for. the thrice stuff he did is rough af but it's also really old so whatevs

These guys were amazing at Chain Fest... been a while since I've listened to their albums in full, should change that since the OLG 10-year tour is coming up.

He has a lot more misses than hits. His best works are olg and the two graduate albums. He botched separation big time.

I will say, I love Juturna, but I don't love the production on it.

I love it except for maybe the percussion but god Ive disliked their drums big time on BSN and Descensus
