I discover a lot of my music through Spotify lists for sure, but buying a physical comp in the record store or a show/fest was like a mystery box. The Fat ones, Punk o Ramas, the Warped Tour ones… not trying to be “old man yells at cloud” but it felt different.

    Punkzilla was my favorite!

FUCKIN' CARV MAN, there's a name I didn't expect to see. Dude was prolific for a little while. I've still got a bunch of his stuff in my library.

Compilations were an absolute goldmine of bands that weren't on my radar to becoming my favourites.

Epitaph comps, Dragging The Lake, Warped, Rock Against Bush...the CD's you got in Kerrang! magazines. Such amazing times.

MTV used to release some killer compilations too! Not exactly the same but early 2000s soundtracks used to have nice stuff too.

EDIT: I have no idea WTF I'm doing wrong here LOL. Don't care either, I've had a running headache for 26+ straight hours now. And my indifference right now says this stays, sh!tty embed code showing and all.

I enjoyed his stuff, too. Was it when this site was Absolute Punk back in 2005/2006 that his covers were available to download from here? I still have all those files on an external hard drive somewhere in my house.

when the song finally debuts and we are *officially* in the rollout, do you think there will be a pivot to posting in just the album thread

Being a fan since 2006, this might be the most overall hype I ever remember for a new blink song. "Edging" had a short rollout and was almost a surprise; "Bored To Death" didn't have Tom, which alienated some people; "Up All Night" came out too late after the first reunion and I think blink's relevancy among the general public was at an all-time low during the early 2010s...

  22. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong here, but Bored to Death coming out felt huge. We were going ape shit here.

I was definitely stoked for Up All Night and streamed the station it was premiering on, but the rollout for OMT has made it feel like far more of an event.

Yeah, I certainly don't mean just among us. "Up All Night" was my most anticipated song ever, but most of us were stoked about any of those. I kinda meant fans + general public... Plus, I think they regained some lost fans with this last reunion.
