Thought I saw somewhere that his interviews like that usually drop the day before whatever associated album comes out.

 

There was just an Instagram Story on blink's page saying "listen now" to Zane Lowe interview but it's been taken down immediately. It was a quick clip of Zane saying he never thought he'd hit play on the album and feel how honest the record was and Tom chimes in saying i thought you were gonna say you'd never thought you'd hit play and like it

Mark was live on Insta before and called The Story So Far, Story of the Year. P funny.

 

I think he called them "Christmas Story So Far" at one point. haha.

He's still live killing time because the show is delayed due to issues with the crews comms. Gotta feel like such a lame reason to not start the show lol.

Are the Zane interviews usually videos as well as audio? I just want all the video interviews!

 

Yes, and it seems they're usually 45 minutes to an hour.

 

The director did say they cut the teaser so you may be on to something.

 

Was trying to think what Mark's part in One More Time reminded me of, it's very Watch The World-ish

 

Long shot but I could see the interview coming out Friday. Seems like a good bit of it is retrospective. I could see the end being a lot about the live shows and the making of the album without it feeling like it is spoiling the experience of the record.

 

I am very content and not really expecting anything until October 20. I know we have a single (or two) on the way, but I'm perfectly satiated at the moment.

Yesterday was epic and what happens, happens. I was able to land all the merch that I wanted and now I can sit back and await this epic album.

 

The clip of "You Don't Know What You Got" where Mark sings something just before the chorus drops... I can't not hear "Brain Stew" right there ("On my own, here we go" - drop)

 

Wonder if Tom will elaborate during the Zane interview on what he meant when they left the band a second time. I remember his post saying something about being dicouraged after they pulled the EP of their website? And how Mark and Travis didn’t give it 100%. Wasn’t really clear what he was talking about.

 

I have California and Nine on cassette so I decided to keep that streak going too

 

His narrative has been "I had to leave because I was doing secret stuff and didn't want to hold them back" for a long time. I doubt he will ever speak on those reactionary posts that went out when they were trading jabs just after he left.

Nah that interview is definitely not coming out for a couple weeks, right? Enough promotion going on with the single release for a bit

 

Yeah - Zane interviews that accompany big album rollouts are usually released the week of the release - so my guess October 15th or 16th to give it a big push. Absolutely can't wait for that though.

 

I love hearing about the writing/recording process so I hope we get a good chunk of that in the interview. I also love track-by-track breakdowns as well.

 

That rules. I had an advance copy of the Dude Ranch CD with the best alternative cover. They totally should have went with it for the release. Sold it a couple of years ago and regret it deeply.

Like, imagine a vinyl release with this cover? So good.
