According to this chart, Mac Jones is a "risk taker" which I think exposes a fundamental flaw of the chart lol. It's not inherently risk-taking to throw turnover-worthy throws if those are nearly always your only choice because your WRs can't separate worth a damn.

There is a zero percent chance the biggest hole in the Panthers game planning is the lack of a QB Sneak lol

 

Even still, it’s “how efficient are you… at making your team have more scoring drives than expected”

And to me that doesn’t account for:
1) QBs in high powered offenses that don’t have to overthink it and can just trust the play and rely on WRs to get separation. They’re not “adding expected points” per se, and it’s wise not to ask them to do so if your offense is already dominating.

2) QBs in sputtering offenses that are putting the ball in as pinpoint precise locations as possible despite receivers getting no separation. I don’t feel like one QB missing receivers left and right is the same thing as (okay maybe I’m biased) Trevor striking out in the red zone despite three separate times fitting the ball in the perfect spot for the WR to make a toe tapping, covered catch. There were 3 drives that ended in a field goal despite a brilliant red zone throw from Trevor because the WR just couldn’t flatten their body and tap their toes. That should have added “expected points” to the game, idk. We mostly didn’t score cause our receivers didn’t have that dog in them on Sunday, not cause Trevor was fuckin up.
