Here are my post-depression thoughts on the Panthers…

The offense looks like a flaming pile a trash. It’s impossible to deny that haha. But I’m not going to panic yet. Bryce hasn’t had a good game yet. You could even say he’s had two bad games. But I think there’s a lot going into that.

The receivers just cannot get open. And this isn’t too surprising. We all knew the group wasn’t that great heading into the season. But on top of the lack of talent, the top 3 have all carried injuries into the season. Chark missed week one, played limited snaps last night. Thielen and TMJ played both games but we’re on the injury report and barely practice all of week one. Regardless, the group is never going to be overly impressive. They’re a bunch of guys that can only shine when there is a clear WR1 on the roster. We don’t have that (I think we are definitely going to overpay for Mike Evans or another FA). But I do think they can be better than what we’ve seen so far. Which isn’t saying much.

The OL got beat up last night. We have two starters out and it’s showing. I think Zavala will be fine as a starter. But we are going to struggle there the next couple weeks until Corbett returns.

Bryce looks like a rookie and that’s ok. I still think he’s super talented and it’s way too early to be concerned. He still makes some beautiful throws. Hopefully the offense can get some chemistry going and we see him improve as the year goes on. We have a new QB, new RB, new WRs, new HC, new OC. It’s going to take some time to gel. But it better start happening soon or they’re in trouble lol

 

I'm a bit overweight. Probably not sassy though.

 

Also, a 15-year-old was shot and killed outside of my work this morning at 10:45am. So I've been dealing with that all day.
