Last night during pennywise Tim and Joe from rise against joined them on stage

 

Can’t believe B&C played nothing from Separation. Not even Stonehands!

I can’t complain because I have seen them play every song from that album, but still lol. Wtf

 

Just checked SetlistFM. Pretty cool seeing that combo of people covering Minor Threat and Black Flag! Gonna have to check for YouTube videos of that later...

Did they really only play nine songs in an hour, though? I feel like there has to be a few songs missing.

 

It’s incomplete and out of order. with how short some pennywise songs are prolly was more like 15/18

 

Y’all be so negative in here. At least the day is on, B&C just crushed it!

 

B&C was lovely. Last To Know and the sun coming out had me tearing up.

 

Looks like the first song at Riot Fest today was "Running From the Rain" by Thursday. How appropriate.

H2O was the best set of the weekend

 

Yeah B&C was great I am just a bitter man. AFI also ripped, great way to end the weekend as I had to call it early today.

Even with my Foo Fighters debacle on Friday this was pound or pound probably my favorite RF since 2014. Happened upon so many friends from the past this weekend even though I went solo all three days. This was also my first series of shows for bands I like all year and it was extremely cathartic getting to belt out so many lyrics and go off in the pit.

Will be out of town next year for it…curious to see what happens location wise in 2024

 

Had a blast this weekend, even with having to leave at like 2 on Friday and the delay today. Really glad my wife and I make this trip from PA every year. Gonna spend the next couple days wandering around the city and heading home on Wednesday :)

Deanna from sincere engineer coming out to do ‘59 Sound w/ gaslight was so much fun. Thursday killed it, finch killed it, Dresden dolls killed it. Through n through were so stoked to have that night time set

 

Got home safe, so happy I went today, even if I only saw B&C, AFI, and Gaslight. My love for this fest and this scene can overcome any hardship, it seems.

 

Sea hear now got the teacher from the foo fighters but riot got nothing off the new album. I’m annoyed by this

Glad yesterday ended up a success for most of us! Of course part of me wishes I had gone anyway, but I had a nice day with my family and an early bedtime.

Already looking forward to next year.

 

Overall successful weekend. No free water being available early Friday and rain delays aside this has been my favorite of the five years I've gone. Bearings. ICP, Turnstile, Drain, and Gorilla Biscuits were the highlights for me

 

I think that may have been one of my favorite sets at Riot ever. I planned to only see them for a little bit this time and then go catch AFI. But I knew that wasn’t happening once Toby said he was doing the rest of the show in the Pit after playing a song or two on the stage.
