They were both in Boulder for McAfee's show yesterday, then went to Smackdown in Denver, now back in Boulder for College Gameday. It's like 30 mins away.

 

They were muting “asshole” chants during the rock segment

 

They had the mute the chants since it’s a broadcast TV channel. The FCC would have fined them if they didn’t lol

 

i mean yeah ive watched tv before but in most of my wrestling life they just bleep the word in question and the preceding & following second or two, not uninterrupted walls of silence for 10-20 seconds at a time. they must just be taking zero chance whatsoever with keeping Fox happy.

 

TKO being in charge makes it very interesting that Punk could return to WWE

 

The Kareem Abdul Jabar guest spot a few episode ago was so insane and dumb lol

 

If CM Punk goes back in WWE they are probably going to give him his own locker room on the complete other side of every building, and probably tell him to stay out of catering.

 

if Punk does return and ends up working a Saudi gig after that unhinged Miz tweet he will fully finish the clown makeup

 

I really don't think he'd go to Saudi especially since its before SS

Punk is a lot of things but he stands behind his convictions pretty solidly - I mean he's a stubborn asshole haha

 

for the most part i agree, whatever happens i hope it is funny

 

Thing is, wrestling has been on cable for its entire existence until FOX. Cable standards are very different than network TV.

Though Im surprised they bleeped asshole, as ass is generally allowed on TV

 

Smackdown had been on free OTA TV for almost it's whole run, it just was taped at the time so they could be precise in post

They’ve censored pretty heavily Raw and Smackdown for the past year or so. Smackdown especially. I’m assuming Fox and/or USA probably asked them to, especially since they let the “fuck you roman” chants fly on the ppvs.

 

Not the same medium but sometimes I’ll throw on some random YouTube true crime stories or whatever as background noise while working and some of the creators will literally mute/bleep out pretty common words one would expect to hear while listening to a story about goddamn murder and it makes no sense to me.

And while I’d like to imagine no one has time to call/tweet at Fox that they heard a “bad word” on a wrestling show, I’m sure it happens lol.

Also confused why certain things would get muted because isn’t “shit” a word that isn’t usually muted anymore? Or maybe it depends on the program or the channel idk.

 

Also forgot that this is WWE where they will literally cut out booing and pipe in fake noise so I shouldn’t be surprised other things are taken out.

 

On this particular issue i actually prefer german tv/radio where they dont censor any of the words that blink182 wrote a song about.

 

Cassandro was meh and very clearly not the work of a wrestling fan lol there was zero wrestling lingo and they subtitled El Hijo del Santo as Son of Santo which is awkward.


Minus 1 wrestling legacy point for Bad Bunny (even though he's barely in it and his character says he hates lucha lol)

 

Aw. I was looking forward to watching it.

 

Going to a regional indie show for the first time ever. Should be an experience.

 

I went to a tiny indie once in Tulsa and saw Abyss beat their top babyface in a “monster’s ball” match in front of like, 50-70 people tops. Got blood spatter on my shirt
