You’re thinking of the album. They are referring to the song on Dude Ranch that also has a stupid clip attached to it.

Hard agree here. Listening to Dude Ranch is a little annoying with the bits in between some songs. I never need to hear those bits again.

Part 2 is so so much better. Anthem is good. Part 2 is GREAT.

 

It is such a close one for me, as I love both.

Anthem Part 2 as a set opener and setting the tone for TOYPAJ is excellent.

I just love the bridge that starts at the 2-minute mark in Part 1 and how it closes such a quintessential album.

i would like very little modern pop sensibility but i’m keeping my ears and heart open

 

Saaaame, but more “heaven” (which isn’t really modern pop at all haha) and less “I really wish I hated you.”

 

I think the newest Yellowcard EP is a great example of a band harnessing aspects of what makes them great and making it all sound fresh/revitalized in 2023. Hope blink does the same to an even greater extent

 

I’m thinking Sober and then that makes less sense being on California. Anyway I know what you mean lol.

My expectation setting for that movie would be “would I have liked it when I was thirteen”

 

I’m going in with “would this have made me happy if I saw it on Nickelodeon.” (but with swearing… so far it’s a lot of swearing and dick jokes in a goosebumps novel)
