I was wondering if it was just me with that issue. Looks like gmail servers have been slow for everyone though.

 

I sent mine off. I wonder if I've got time to finish an original of a trope from Supernatural and True Blood.

 

Agreed that Best of 2016 should be a January thing. I'd love to hear a Christmas comp. The holidays (Halloween and Christmas specifically) are my favourite time of the year. Gonna be so bummed throughout November. I'm Canadian so I don't even have Thanksgiving to hold on to

 

thanksgiving is boring. you're not missing anything, haha. like, just go eat a bunch of food with your friends or family and tell them you're thankful for their company. that's all you need to do, haha.

 

Whenever I record my vocals, they come out sounding different every time. Why is this.

 

it happens to me too. i think it all just depends on the day. some days my voice sounds like absolute garbage, and other days it sounds like regular garbage. this weekend, i tried to record 3 songs i've been working on, and vocals didn't work out at all... boo.

Finally done with my songs. Going to mix and master them tomorrow. I like them, but I also can't help but feel a little disappointed in them as I got really busy and had a lot of issues with the recording process, so I ended up on a tight time crunch. As such, I only got to do a single vocal layer, had to settle for takes that could be better, and there are some lyrics that could use some work as they were made last second, totally on the spot. Overall though, I like what I made. I think they're fun and maybe interesting takes on Halloween music and I hope you guys end up liking them despite their many flaws.

 

I'm sure they'll be just fine

 

I can't wait to hear this comp! Such a fun idea. Wish I knew how to play an instrument so I could actually take part in these. If anyone ever needs vocals for a song, let me know!

 

I'm feeling sick and don't have much of a singing voice, so I'll probably be going to bed early the next few nights, and chances of me finishing my songs... Well, it might take a miracle.

I finished my Welcome to Lavender Town cover. Well, kind of. I did all the guitars, so all that's left is drums and bass, but I feel like since there's as many as five guitars going at once (the two songs playing at the same time) adding the rhythm section might be overload. Same with the screaming, hah. Hopefully saying "space cadet, pull out"a few times at the beginning is enough for vocals.

I'm also finishing up my original. I just got a verse i gotta write and i'll send it off. I'm seeing Brand New tonight so hopefully that inspires me to finish it up. I'll probably finish it tomorrow.
