The Olivia tickets won't necessarily be pricey (prob $150-200/ticket) but will just be a challenge to get.

MSG tickets were highway robbery but FOB and JEW are two of the few bands the wife and I agree on so we sucked it up

Thanks for this earlier! I was able to snag tickets without issue. Work got immediately busy after I completed my purchase. Stoked to finally see Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World, with The Maine in an arena being the cherry on top!

I didn't realize that and was freaking out pretty hard. No way I could've afforded resale later on.

I'm going to the Orlando too, very excited. I have a side note, either of you interested in seeing Chris Farren this Friday at Will's Pub? I have conflict and can't go now. I have two free tickets if interested.

Just looking around, it's so annoying how much more expensive NYC is compared to everywhere else. Upper level on the side is $150. Albany upper level on the side is $73. Baltimore is $75. Pittsburg $76.

Really considering if it might be worth the extra distance to Albany where I can get closer seats for significantly cheaper

How much will you be spending on gas?

I used an online calculator for gas and tolls and it said roundtrip would be be about $74. But for me to take the train to/from NYC it would be about $32. So technically travel costs would really be $42 more. But that's also assuming I would want to drive back home for 3 hours after the concert and not get a hotel somewhere lol

    I bought my tickets earlier.

A few minutes ago my mom won me tickets from a Pittsburgh radio station. :crylaugh:

Couldn’t justify MSG tickets coming from Boston. But saw FOB last month, and (hopefully) seeing Jimmy on Saturday so I can’t be too bummed. But… I am. Lol

You mean you don’t just have a lifetime pass to FOB shows? All those years of AbsolutePunk.net for nothing. :tear:

How fast are we thinking tickets will go for this in the general sale? Debating whether to wait until tomorrow morning to try and get better seats or just get something still left of the pre-sale. I don't want to wait until tomorrow if there's a chance I get put in a waiting room and miss out on anything remotely good lol

Don’t know what other venues look like but there’s still a Ton of presale tickets for Milwaukee left. I’d buy tonight just to be safe if I where you

Guess I shouldn’t worry too much about not being able to get tickets if I have to wait

The amount of tickets listed as platinum at my date are ridiculous. I imagine they’ll turn to standard tickets eventually if they remain unsold but still.

when you're booking with Live Nation do they lock you in at a certain sized venue? Between this and the 1975 it seems like both artists are ok playing to half-full arenas in some cities to be able to get the same sized venue in the bigger markets.

On a very basic and simplistic monetary level, the band doesn't really care if the venue is filled or not. They are mostly compensated for the show via their guarantee. It would more impact Livenation (and more specifically, that venue, city, and buyer), as they try to recoup on the show via tickets sales, concessions, etc. There are other clauses in the contracts, egos at play, and the visual of playing a not filled room that factor in as well. But really it is about what the Livenation buyer bought the show at. That is the number that really matters in most instances. What did the show do vs what it was supposed to do.

Yeah I figured this was the case. Just wild the disparity of demand between some cities.

Yeah, this is where you get into the weeds a little bit and why some bands route tours a certain way. FOB is coming off a big run when the album was newer and in the forefront of the general conversation. Presumably people traveled to certain larger cities nearby in the summer months. Given where ticket costs are for these types of shows, school starting again, PTO being saved for holidays, it would make sense that some of these shows are moving slower. It will likely still end up fine, but you would expect this to move a little slower compared to the first run.

Don’t think I listened to the song again after the first time but good for them. Just don’t make it part of the setlist (they probably will now).

Listening to this for the first time in a few months, and it is still quite handily my favorite Fall Out Boy album.

I absolutely loved this album but it came out at the worst time so I never had it much in the rotation. I need to get back on it. With Blink and TBS' new albums I've been really in a pop punk mood lately.
