I read a rumor they're only letting people hear it over zoom or something to protect it from leaking....Jason, care to confirm or deny?

Saw two down the street from my house about 6p last night (Near Sheridan & Irving). They were gone this morning.

Why'd you do that though, You Vandal...? So you selling the other one?

Seriously though, I don't doubt that, I'd have been there at like 3am, peeling one off the walls.

I’m a few hours and 47 pages late but this is what I see in my head when I think of my Blink 182 listening heyday.

Every time one of you in this thread mentions Nintendo, my brain automatically triggers the Nintendo Cereal commercial:

  11. I had that poster, the TOYPAJ tour one with Mark jumping, the TOYPAJ era one of them kneeling by a car, and the one where they’re standing in front of a red background.

  12. My logic with leaks is usually anyone engaged enough to make a post asking for one will probably still stream the album when it comes out, offsetting any perceived losses due to the leak.

I think it’s also reasonable to care more if a smaller band’s stuff leaks as opposed to a gigantic band.

I've always just thought the public wishing of it strange, with the idea that I know band members lurk this site, and social media in general, and I always wondered (or can imagine) what they would think if they saw someone saying "I hope this thing they worked forever on and means a lot to them was just all of a sudden out in the world, for free, without their say, not on the time or place they wanted it to be, not how they wanted the world to experience it." As a fan of their art, I'd never want to be the one that brings that kind of energy to them. If something leaks would I want to hear it, sure. But I find the energy/karma/being a decent humanness of it all to be where I wouldn't want to be out there advocating against a band I like's desires.

Sadly, I think all it takes is one band making it sound like it's not a big deal if their album leaks; or in wild rare scenarios, leak it themselves. That may give fans a sense of justification to seek after leaks.

Just got back from their show in Copenhagen. They are on their peak! Was my 10th blink concert and by far the best

I am guessing it's to do with Physical copies becoming less popular?

  23. A lot of "common" leaks would come from early CD releases at brick and mortar stores. Even if that's still a thing, nobody has disc drives in their laptop anymore. I can't speak on how security for music journalists has increased, but generally I think the industry just caught up. A lot of mainstream albums get one global release (usually Midnight EST) on streaming and nothing comes out before.

Thank you! I just remember 5-8 years ago we’d always have the album leak 1-2 weeks before it came out.

Not begging for this to leak or anything. Just popped in my head and thought I’d ask.
