I'm not doing this yet. Wilson was dogshit last year but so was the OC and the OL.

He stepped into the worst possible situation for a backup QB:

The legendary starter pegged at the franchise's savior goes down on the first series of the game and 80,000 people went silent...

No practice with starters for basically all of training camp.

The offensive gameplan was almost certainly scripted for the first several series and he didn't practice ANY of those plays with the 1s all week

He did his job last night. That was a pretty standard performance for a backup QB in the NFL.

I'm cool with adding someone via trade because Tim Boyle is shit, but Wilson got it done last night and the team has to ride with him again until the wheels fall off.

Garrett Wilson was wide open on the play where the injury happened. He just didn't throw it.

I know it was only four plays, but Rodgers seemed shellshocked/off on every attempt. It's designed quick game and he just wouldn't throw it. Pretty eerie.

I feel like a Jacoby Brisett kinda move would be good for them. Someone who you can leave behind Wilson while he gets ramped up and if Wilson is fine it’s fine, but if he sucks you know Jacoby can at least kinda do something.

The Packers’ game Sunday really made it obvious how many plays Rodgers would do his own thing outside of the play design. Crazy what happens when you’re not trying to freelance almost every play
