I remember them doing this on Disney+ for a hockey game but the players became characters from some newer Disney cartoon and boy…all the stuff between the actual play (which was already clunky and hard to watch) was so devoid of charisma that it just couldn’t pull off what it was going for. It wasn’t even fun to hate watch.

Around 2014 I had to step back from the Bruins and hockey in general because I was letting them (losing) affect me way more than a reasonable 18ish year old should.

But playoff hockey is easily the most entertaining and best sport in the US. I’m sure soccer in other countries is superior but can’t relate
