Massive three points for RSL. Cowardly lenient performance from the referee, but he was consistent haha.

Just got home from a day out... pretty proud of the Swans to respond to going 2-0 down to tie it up. Don't really have any negative reactions to losing El Clasico... Tuesday is a much more important game, we're still leading the league, and it's probably the perfect motivating loss you could ask for going into the home stretch.

Gotta say, really love how lively this thread was today. Kinda looks like the thread of all just a tad.

Sounders are so bad this year =(

Crystal clear that Oba was our big time playmaker and still waiting on either someone to step up and fill that roll or the team to go out and get someone new.

Jordan Morris has been underwhelming, that's for sure. Possibly too much pressure..

Morris has been the least of our problems. He is still a rookie. Expecting him to light it up in his first three games is a little much.

Dempsey, on the other hand, hasn't really done much. He's been good, but hasn't been near "one of the highest paid DPs in the league" level good.

Valdez also has yet to convince me he a top level striker.

  6. Eastern Conference seriously looks flipped upside down rn

  7. it really annoys me that lamar is balling out for DCU rn and we haven't really put an end product together

Agreed on Valdez. He's past it. As for Morris, no reasonable person expects him to "light it up", but he's been a nothing player.

Fortunate win for Seattle. That was much needed.

Probably our worst performance of the year. Got a little lucky on the goal and looked pretty flat the whole match. But nice to finally get a win and hopefully can build on it.

I think we've reached the point where Dempsey just isn't going to ball out week in week out.

Oba was definitely the man, and Morris isn't there yet obvs. Clint might still score 12-15 goals but just isn't the game changer Oba was

Yeah, he was really good as a partner for Martins, pulling off defenders so it was easier for Martins to get open and giving him a talented player to work with. Dempsey and Martins got on the same wave length and were far stronger together than either of them are on their own.

But outside of the one Portland game where he got a hat trick to pull us back from 4-2 down to a 4-4 draw... I can't think of a lot of situations where Dempsey has gone "alright fuck this we are walking out of here with a win". If there are 80 minutes left and we need a goal, I'm not really confident thinking "Its okay, we have Dempsey", while I was with Oba.

Oba was one of my favourite Toon payers, ever.

I guess I'm happy with a draw from last night. Really think that not signing a top quality finisher may cost us points over the season, but we need to keep Diaz fit as we looked lost without him out there in the first half.

Not that anyone else will care, but Aberdeen playing Hamilton today in the Scottish PL. if we don't win today then any title hopes are gone, so it's quite a big one!

1-0 up in the first 4 minutes. Off to a good start from the Dons!

I was hoping this Leicester-Soton match was gonna be a banger. But I keep finding myself just not paying attention to it.

I've just caught up so a few things from last few pages:

-Payet's free kick is ridiculous. I love it. He's so good.
    -I hate Real Madrid always.

Celtic game was good yesterday. Good support and always great to beat them, especially after going 1-0 down from seemingly nothing. The ref, Bobby Madden, though is ridiculous - He's the most inconsistent, rotten to the core ref in Scottish football just now.

Paddy Roberts is a friend, is a friend. Paddy Roberts is a friend, he scores toppers.

This would be their 5th or 6th 1-0 victory in a row if they hold, right?

They drew with West Brom somewhere in there, but yeah this would make the 5th 1-0 win in a row.
