Love how he combined their last three albums and still added new sonics.

My friend has recommended these guys to me for three summers now. It took me until last week to listen to him.

He hooked me by blaring Never Ending Game on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Have they ever toured with Turnstile btw? Because if not I’ve got an idea that’s gonna make me millions

Not sure if you’re aware, but most of the band for the first several years was Turnstile haha

    Quick little show review.

Saw these guys live for the first time. In KOREA no less. It's kinda rare for bands I'm into to play here (Japan gets all the love) and when they do, shit usually sells out too fast for me to get tickets. When I found out AD was playing in Seoul, I was determined to see them. I even took the day off of work to make it happen.

It was totally worth it. They played a pretty small venue and maybe only like 50-60 people were there. The show was fucking sick. I was happy to see a lot of new material getting played, like Brand New Soul, Sippin Lysol, Born 2 Run, Love Slam, Space Jam, Very Aggressive. They also played Big One, which is one of my favorite older tracks, and I was kinda surprised that was on the set. Plenty of set staples too. Toxic Boombox is a hell of an opener.

The crowd was very dancey, but not at all aggressive. I wouldn't describe any of it as hardcore dancing, though there were some two-step adjacent dances going on. It was almost cute in how unabashedly sincere it was? I donno. Maybe that's the cynical American in me. As for me, my knees are too fucked up for any dancing, so I had to hang at the back. But the room was clearly STOKED to be there. The band, especially Justice, were equally energetic.

The crowd wanted an encore at the end, but Justice was like "We told you that was our last one. I wasn't lying. We don't actually know any more songs." Thought that was funny. The band then hung out with people and seemed to be down to get food and drinks after if anyone wanted. I talked to Justice a bit and he asked my friend and I more questions than we asked him, which was amusing because, like, dude is legendary to me and I wanted to tell him how much I loved all his work and the new album and he was just like "How do you like living here?" Didn't expect such sweetness from a tatted and jacked Baltimore guy I guess. And the guy who wrote all those TUI songs no less.

All in all, fuck yeah, what a great experience. I feel hella lucky to have them come to Korea and for things to work out where I could actually catch the show. Hopefully won't be the last time.

They were great this weekend, played nearly everything I wanted to hear off the new record except for Racecar. I felt like such an old man though. Really glad we turned the clocks back since AD didn't hit the stage until after 11pm. Also was able to snagged a copy of the /150 album release vinyl (its really nothing special, just standard black w/ a extra cover on the outside)
