basically there are too many factors in cannabis to judge potency based on a single number. Especially when a large % of those factors aren't even tested for (and some aren't even fully discovered yet). Plus testing labs are notoriously unreliable if not corrupt so that number is never to be trusted anyway. It's all just marketing now.

Also indica and sativa aren't real in the way most people think but that is a whole different discussion

 

Interesting. I did hear that sativa vs indica doesn't really matter recently, but didn't know about THC. Guess it makes sense since entourage effect gummies get me so much higher just because it keeps all of the properties of the plant

 

Thats exactly it! Its a lot of why i never use distillate products too and stick with true full spectrum products.

Its like saying you can judge how well a car will do in a race based on the top speed of other cars like it. Just because your car can go 300mph doesn't mean it will be effective in a race if the car can't brake well and sucks at steering. and just because one bud in the batch tested at 26% doesn't mean the bud you're getting comes close to that. Growers get to pick what they send to testing. When the market is conditioned to think thc% means quality then you're going to spend a lot of time finding the fastest car in your garage to have tested.

 

I will say I weirdly get much higher with distillate than live resin. Not sure why

If you’re in a legal state, I’d recommend Dialed In gummies, I believe they’re live rosin and they’re soooo awesomely well rounded

I think they’re strain specific so I usually just do a lil research on their website beforehand to pick specifics out for daytime/nighttime

 

So bummed. The only medical only dispensary in my town is closing at the end of the month. Regularly have strains on sale for 5.40 a gram or less. Loved that they only served medical patients too, as I am one. Fuck that 20% rec tax

Is it just me or does smoking out of a piece hit me harder and give me more anxiety than smoking a joint..? Probably just in my head, but that’s how it feels for me.

 

I can’t believe it but I now have a SECOND story about being up way too late smoking way too much weed because I couldn’t sleep just to realize my neighbor’s house is on fire!

Definitely very different highs between edibles and vaping, but everyone reacts differently. Some people get wrecked on 10mg gummies, other people need much more. Edibles personally hit me harder than just taking one quick rip of a pen (I wouldn't do more than one hit if you don't smoke often)

Don't know much about how to make decisions based on strains and whatnot. I just go for the funniest name I see. Like "titty sprinkles" lol

 

if you're concerned about anxiety, look to the terpenes (hopefully the dispo lists them on the menu). avoid pinene a and b, terpinolene, and humulene. myrcene and limonene are the best for relaxation. vapes hit fast and don't last nearly as long as edibles (obviously lol). i mostly go flower tho

 

Keep some other smells on hand if you smoke. Terpenes are the reason. All how you react to certain ones. I really love the peppercorn method. Chewing on those if you start to feel too high.

 

I think you should browse a menu beforehand and look for strains with “relaxing” effects, specifically anything with like 1% CBD would prolly be good for you cause it’ll have a calming less anxiety inducing effect, generally. Also it’s worth it to look at live rosins for that “entourage” effect everyone keeps mentioning. Those seem to help give you the full experience. Some high percentage thc distillate only stuff will send you reeling.
