Def could be radius clause related

 

Can’t help but think that wasn’t a wise decision

 

Why is that?

 

I just can’t see the tour selling overly well especially if WTK is an opener, but I’d love to be wrong

 

It’s definitely a bigger tour than I expected for SOTY, but Page Avenue is insanely popular and they don’t tour much. The Bearings/JF tour was going to draw 300-500 in most markets. Even if they SOTY doesn’t do well it’ll easily pull twice as many people as that. It’s a smart decision for YF to try to get in front of the older crowd instead of touring with the same younger pop punk tours they always open. I’m incredibly stoked they are opening as I wasn’t going to see them on the other tour since I don’t like any of the other bands.

I will say that the first leg has FYS which makes a lot more sense opening and will help the draw. WTK is definitely an odd choice and I’m glad they aren’t opening my show lol

I already know the Blue Ridge organizers are gonna use “We can’t control bad weather!” as their defense to deflect well-deserved flack from all of the things that they *can* control

 

yesterday they turned away paying ticket holders really due to capacity issues but they told them the concert was canceled due to weather…all while it was going on inside. It is a shame they are gonna use weather as the excuse because they fucked so much other stuff up.

 

When WWWY cancelled due to weather a lot of people were understanding because of the safety issues. In this case the weather is not the main issue so people are rightfully pissed.

 

You know any great promoter deletes their social media during their festival.

Yeah bands played early on Thursday until that storm popped up out of nowhere and all day yesterday

 

God what an absolute fucking disaster

That stacked lot seems like a nightmare. I've only been once and we were first in our lane because we arrived ~6 hours before the show. Don't think I'd risk parking there if I couldn't be in the first 3-4 rows.

 

I feel so bad, I have 2 friends that went to this. One shelled out the big bucks for the highest VIP that got him access to all the meet and greets

 

I know a few folks who also went, but haven’t heard their reactions yet. Meanwhile my friend’s husband was working the event (not for the festival; for the health dept) and has been filling me in on some intel that I am not at liberty to share. However I can say that based on what he’s said, it’s been pure chaos since setup.

 

More importantly, WHAT show were they at?

 

I’ve heard a lot, it’s a complete shit show, apparently a lot of the workers never even showed back up after Thursday and how they were treated. They don’t even have people to run the thing tomorrow even if they wanted to proceed.
