    D'oh! Prestigious

Ixora and Blushing were two perfect albums that just aligned so well with how my taste grew throughout the years, and I wouldn't change anything about both of those. More nostalgia for some of the previous ones will probably always shake up my TOP 3 from Copeland, but it's only a blessing

i just want more dark, experimentally-attuned production like they did with Blushing

yeah I feel like they got into some really unique and interesting stuff sonically on that album.

I love all of them but Ixora is transcendent. It’s in my top 5 favorite albums of all time

the dream is that Aaron would do a 5.1 or Atmos mix of Ixora and Twin together as he contemplated doing a few years back. he specifically said people should try mixing both versions down to stereo, although i admit i did the same, lmao.

i have my own version of ixora/twin synced that i think works fine enough but it makes that album borderline impossible to rec people so yes pls aaron

    Fight the long defeat.

I doubt this would happen, though I'd love to see it! I manually layered the tracks over each other to listen to a Quad version of the album, but an official release would be special.

Ranking is a moot point for me with this band. 6 stunners.

Yeah they're the most consistent band that has reached 6 albums for me. I truly love them all.

Wait, what makes it borderline impossible to rec?

The album is perfect even without Twin

both twin and the original sound very incomplete to me when isolated so i never jam them apart anymore, but like say im throwing it on in the background w pals and someone is curious about the track i gotta be like "well uh if you pull it up on streaming you'll only hear half of this" which is a tough sell lol

I think I only listened to the twin and mixed versions once which was cool but the original is definitely the definitive version to me.

I’ve really only listened to the original. I think I’ve heard the twin version of a song or two once and I think I’ve listened to the full version or whatever of one song just once. I’m really only ever interested in listening to Ixora

I love Ixora+Twin combined. I still want Aaron to give us an official spatial audio version of that.

Really enjoyed Ixora like no other album I’ve ever experienced. I’m happy with whatever they can dish out as well even though Blushing wasn’t my favorite

ESR, You Are My Sunshine, and Ixora each hit me in the deepest part of myself. I love plenty of songs from BMT, In Motion, and Blushing (“On Your Worst Day” is an all timer), but I find myself digesting those as just songs rather than full albums. I’ve tried Revolving Doors a few times, and conceptually I know it should be something I adore, but it’s never done much for me.

slightly-related: i remember tuning into an episode of the Gunz Show years ago to hear them premiere a "new Copeland song", only for it to be Erase, which had already premiered a couple days earlier, haha. during the same radio show, someone requested they play Walking Downtown (which they did, lmao), and they played My House by PVRIS, which is how i discovered their work. just a fun memory from that time.

Fun fact and maybe a bad opinion - walking downtown is my least favorite Copeland song. I think it’s straight up bad.

Especially after their hiatus and having crazy high expectations. And that song somehow still exceeded them

I think that's a common opinion. It's the only bad song they have really.
