man the further we get from the Punk stuff, the more it seems like perfect timing. last year, Punk derailed an incredibly hot time for the company and we lost The Elite with him. this time, he fucked off before getting into a major angle in any capacity, got out of everyone's way by accident, and gave us a break from Jungle Boy.

i just expected it to go more Edge's current contract - a few years to end on their own terms and then back to retirement. i loved the E&C pod so much and Christian seemed very adamant that he did not miss bumping whatsoever so i was surprised he came back at all lol.
