Just watched everything. Great fuckin show, of course it was missing that big PPV feel but we knew it would.

Excited to see what OC is booked to do next, what a run he had.

I have been completely tuned out of wrestling the last few days. MUCH respect for TK getting up in front of that Chicago crowd and explaining what he did.

I’m officially a dad so I’ll have to get caught up on everything that happens in two years.

Ok so what I as assuming is that Punk somehow got physical with a production staffer during all the stuff at All In, it was caught on camera, lawyers determined Punk was a legal liability, and had to go to avoid the company also being liable in the future. Does that sound right?

  8. I hope Jack Perry never comes back. Not because of the Punk stuff but just because he's a boring wrestler that brings nothing to the promotion

Worse, actually. Got physical with Jungle Boy out of kayfabe/the ring, and then threw hands at Tony while screaming he quit as well (causing monitors, etc to be knocked down onto him). And then apparently also had a go at him behind closed doors later.

Congrats. Though, I've watched more wrestling in the last two years since my daughter was born than in the 2-3 years before that by a long shot, because guess what, you've got nowhere you are going at 10pm on a Friday night or on Saturday evenings. And you're staying up from 8pm-1am anyway changing diapers and doing feedings, so having a PPV on is actually easy.

I am hoping AEW gets their PPVs on some steaming platform because having those on demand would entertain me a lot more than the WWE/NXT ones I’ve already seen.

He wanted to enter the 2023 Rumble and be eliminated by, then have a Mania match against, KO (who would also have been barred from wearing a shirt, I'd assume)

-After Brawl Out (around December 2022) Punk expressed an openness to leaving AEW for WWE

-He specifically wanted to return at the 2023 Royal Rumble and face the person who eliminated him at WrestleMania.

-SRS said he didn’t hear of any traction in terms of WWE having interest in this at the time. It’s unknown if AEW had any interest in releasing him back then, either

-Kevin Owens was a name thrown around to possibly work with Punk. This was not confirmed by Punk or his camp

So...basically WWE didnt even want him when it would have been the most advantageous to grab him

What a huge demotion that would have been for KO, versus what he got instead. A key cog of the hottest WWE storyline in 5 years vs a dumpy match v Punk that he'd surely lose.

Also who knows WTF the legal situation would have been. No way TK just shrugs and let's him walk lol

he wanted to enter A program with a guy who is very close friends with the Young Bucks, and who has had similar bad interactions with Punk when he was coming up in ROH as a young wrestler. Yeah I am sure that would have turned out fine behind the scenes.

  25. The fact that they’ve worked the last week+ with the Bucks probably shows they’ll be professional about it
