Maybe I’ll see KO on this cruise I’m going on like I did a couple years ago

Just finished the tag match, not really mad at KO/Sami losing because they were just spinning their wheels since mania. Hopefully they find something good for them to do. Judgment Day needed that win bad. They lose everything (even tho they already had 2 titles I know). And now they get to do the “can they coexist” trope they run into the ground

Is it fair to say he’s also played probably one of the five biggest roles in this company NOT being what it could be?

I was surprised he came back so soon but he’s never gonna miss a Quebec show.

What was the point of doing that massive Street profit build around the rumble last year… where it seem like they were going to take the belts off the Usos… or that Montez might’ve turned… and amounting to absolutely nothing

  11. No that’s not fair at all

without Punk there is no rampage or collision and they absolutely do not sell out Wembley

hate the guy all you want - it’s valid / dude caused his own demise

but he elevated the company to levels that probably wouldn’t have happened without him

hell even his involvement in brawl out led to the sick best of 7 series between the elite and death triangle

He was the company’s biggest merch mover too

Long term is the company better off? Yeah definitely

Yes. Ironically enough, it was MJF being pissed about his downward trend after that, and the Wardlow feud Bette saw him at his lowest… end, it was MJF and carrying the belt after Punk blew up all the plans that got him the most over.

There’s no world that MJF v Danielson was a plan after All Out last year… and yet it’s the thing that got MJF over as big as he can be.

  19. You don’t think for a second that the dog collar match was his Austin moment?

(and credit should to go Mox for carrying the title and company after punk blew it up)

My favorite part of AEW is that a Jericho or Punk think they are putting over talent (even though they win all their feuds)… but Danielsons actually out there doing it

Nah. The punk feud showed he could hang at the top level. But he was not in any way, starting a turn to baby face in the Wardlow feud. Had punk not gotten hurt the first time, there’s not even space for MJF to come back to face-ish reactions. He’d have been a mega heel in his return (and probably lower down the card too)

and yeah, Mox obviously carried things…but until Revolution you’d be hard pressed to say AEW had any real plan for the title stories…and MJF pulled off stuff we hadn’t seen him do and broadened his character to carry the main event
