Turned 40 yesterday and all my heroes are dying. Seriously though he was one of those people I expected to live to 100 for some reason.

Kids in America shouldn’t even have to take any science courses. They should all just take a trip on Living with the Lands. Then they can go to the water splash pad afterwards.

We used to do yearly field trips to Epcot until they started cracking down on field trips.

I heard once the reason why Living With The Land has been virtually unchanged for over 40 years is because it exists so they can still market Epcot to schools as an educational field trip destination.

I went on a field trip to Epcot in the 6th grade,. We only had like 4 hours so we didn't do much. I don't think we did Living With the Land. We wasted a ton of time playing on that Viking themed playground that used to be in Norway. We had to bail while in the queue of the Honey I Shrunk the Kids in 3D because we were about to miss our bus.

I remember a girl got hit by a car while crossing the street within 10 minutes of getting back to school, and thinking how much that would suck to get hit by a car right after getting to go to Disney World.

it is legit. There is a Biotechnology internship position Disney offers where you work in that lab. I also think the USDA has scientists that work in there.

We went to Knott's one year to go to the old exhibit/shop they had talking about Edison and the lightbulb/electricity. This was RIGHT when Jaguar! was opening and it's all I really wanted to do there that day but they wouldn't let us go on a single ride. Still salty about that trip lol

Have fun! Just from Reddit posts and some Twitter, seems like it's out of control this year. Lots of complaints about Express lines, queues being posted longer than actual waits, etc. Hopefully they were able to iron out some kinks in the first few weeks.

EDIT: Just to add, this is my first time (aside from COVID) in 6 years I won't be going. Sad. But I'm going to London in January so being responsible with money this time around.

Only went to HHN once and decided it wasn’t for me. The “conga line” of people through the houses really killed any type of immersion. All of the scares were ruined, as we saw most of them coming.

Id gladly pay an additional $40-50 if they guaranteed the experience in the houses would be better, letting groups of 6-8 go at a time.

in a perfect world you could walk through in small groups but it doesn't feel possible with the amount of people there

we have some great local haunts that i visit every year that bring you through in groups of 10 or less

that’s a really good idea! Don’t get me wrong, the houses are top notch they’re just void of scares with the crowds.
