"After dozens of hours on just Steam Deck, Starfield feels good in some parts, but really struggles in the bigger cities. Turning everything to low and enabling FSR2 is basically the only way to play it right now on Valve's handheld, and even that drops to 20fps often in the first major city (New Atlantis). The game itself can look very good on the device screen in many parts, but it is very CPU-heavy right now. This has been tested after the day one patch as well."

How is it?

 

I'm actually shocked I haven't seen more Starfield stuff today, the embargo lifted or whatever and there was a huge wave, but now nothing. A lot of people talking about Mario Wonder though.

 

Also, got a PS Dual Sense Edge and it's crazy to me how much better it is. These should be controller standards now.

 

Had one since it launched. It’s decent.

 

If it had better battery life it would be a 9/10 probably.

What don't you like about it?

 

Well, you mentioned the battery life which is terrible and it’s way too big in your hands. (Lol)
It’s not really ergonomic


That being said, it’s good for Returnal runs and I do like how the cable snaps in.

 

Edge is probably my favorite controller honestly

I’m not going to get in another debate about controllers. Plain and simple: use whatever you are most comfortable with.

 

That's really funny because I have small hands I think this feels really good. The Steam Deck feels uncomfortable, this feels just right and mostly because with the back buttons you can use the little half moon ones or whatever and set your fingers on them and your other fingers on the triggers instead of on the bumpers and the triggers.

 

Oh! None of this was a debate, if it doesn't feel good to you, it's not a good fit and that makes absolute sense. I was just curious why. I can easily see those getting to people. Like I think some people might not like the added weight to the Edge.

 

Glad you are enjoying it. Someone else brought up that it’s a debate. Surprisingly the Elite 2 weighs more so that’s not an issue with the Edge.

 

What if they like, put a screen between the Edge? Would that sell you on it?

 

Cutting it in half is an option…
