That was to promote the tour a year ago. I know it's on the album but The next release is the lead single of the album promo after a year of anticipation.

 

Nah. It’s still the first single they released from their album, whether the rest of the album was done or not.

 

It was technically to promote the album as well. It says so in the teaser video and they had album preorders up with it.

 

I'd be happy with some shitty phone quality videos of a new song tomorrow. I don't care haha.

 

The first single for an album isn’t always the lead single, especially when it’s released way earlier than the rest

Easily feeling this imo. My favorite song of all time

 

It's cool to see all the variety in rankings. Evidence that all of Blink's music rips, we all have different personal pockets of the discography.

 

The best song out of the lead singles is "Feeling This." The best lead single in terms of it being a lead single is "What's My Age Again?" because it truly showed the band's transformation going into the Enema album cycle. Super compact, catchy as hell and glossy.

 

Feeling This never feels old or stale to me. It is a timeless staple and a career high point for the band.

EDGING has not been around long enough to really have a take, but I did my biweekly playthrough yesterday and it is their best lead single since the first reunion by miles.

 

I'd add that "Bored to Death" is also a monster lead single that showed the band could exist without Tom – even if the rest of the album rarely lived up to that quality.

 

My personal favorite lead single is WMAA. I distinctly remember recording it off WMRQ Radio 104.1 (shout out all the CT homies in this thread) and being mad the DJ was talking over the intro. Really exciting time where I was still kind of bummed Scott had left/been kicked out but was so excited for a new record that we knew very little about before it dropped. The "enhanced CD" video is seared into my brain from Enema.

 

WMAA is #1 because it help really put the band into the mainstream and turned them into the success they are today.

 

Am I crazy? How is a song released a year ago promoting a tour and unannounced album with no promo since-the lead single over what will releasing first for the big promo buildup to the October release? Lead singles always kick off the big push. Do people consider Rebel Girl the lead single for Lifeforms? I forget they even snuck it on the album cause it was so old. Euphoria was the lead single.
