Yeah that’s a decent one along with Florida-Utah on Thursday. I’m just used to a lot more fun non conference games the first weekend. There’s a ton of cupcake games on National TV which is odd.

Got last minute tickets with a buddy to GTech-Louisville since I’m in the Atlanta area for the weekend and he’s a Tech fan.

Just gonna get me more amped for the season opener at Neyland the week after that. I’m once again going into the season for no expectations and just looking to have fun with my friends, family, and one of the best offensive coaches in the country.

 

Ugh I was going to be there too but my friend with falcons season tickets I guess couldn’t get her PSL or whatever and also I wasn’t able to take off work or even get out early due to some dumb shit scheduling we’re doing around the holiday.

probably for the best. I’m winless going to see them in MBS including the first game there against the vols lol.

I don’t see it man. They’ve invested too much into his vision and he’s currently pulling a top-3 class with a stud qb. They won’t cut bait after two years barring something wild, like faking death threats.

 

zero chance he's still there. the recruiting has plummeted under him. they aren't going to win now and are set up to only get worse. honestly anything less than 8 wins and he's gone.

 

Unless they drastically turn around after this game, this just looks like bad coaching top to bottom.

They were also bad last year with a better QB.

 

Whether he’s still around is up for debate, but his downfall won’t be due to recruiting. objectively, recruiting has not plummeted and they are set up to have improved year on year.

I think he’s still around because no one has projected Florida to win this year, so it’s not as if they will fall short of expectations. Especially with mertz. And a *massive* buyout would make it especially difficult.

 

But yes, this is absolutely brutal to watch. No debating that.
