I genuinely like Buddha more than Cali or Nine.
    It’s just simple as that.

very likely one of the videos will be a riff on i don’t wanna grow up based on the green screens and travis’s ramones fit.

It didn’t even dawn on me that it could be that specific video. That makes way more sense from what we’ve seen.

It looked to me that the Ramones fits were filmed "on location" vs. green screen in their usual attire.

California for me. Just the thrill of it all, and how explosive this place was. It was what made me join chorus, because this thread was so excited and so positive. No drama, no arguing. Just everyone on the hype train

really miss that hope it gets that way when this album is announced

    Things have changed.

Untitled album. My buddy and I purposely held off listening to anything but "Feeling This" then drove to Best Buy after school and listened to the album together for the first time in his car. It was magical and a really special bonding experience. Hoping to do the same this time around – though after his kids go to sleep.

There is nostalgia associated with the early albums that some of you must not have.

My entry point was Dude Ranch from my older brother and before Enema was released I went to the CD store and picked up Cheshire/Buddha. I have fond memories of spinning both of those in my discman.

I hope you're right, but it's looking like next week is the week we've all been waiting for.

Day of release: TOYPAJ. have the memory of running home from school to watch their TRL performance/interview, getting the "Tom/yellow version" of the CD at Virgin Megastore.

Lead-up: Untitled - signing up for their street team to distribute stickers and put up posters... watching all the cheetah videos of the house and the "Fiji studio." Finding every little riff/lyric clip in those videos + the MTV docs.

Coolest: Neighborhoods - I was the promotions director at an alt rock radio station and they were playing our fall festival two days after Neighborhoods came out. Tom came into studio and I got to lead him around, film his on-air interview, get him to sign my copy of Neighborhoods "for a winner" and talked about Ghost and Even If She Falls being the two best songs... even sat in on he and Chris Georggin using the interview to be able to pitch a new AVA song to our program director. Then later that day at the festival running a meet and greet with the full band and a promotion where a winner got to interview Mark and Tom. That video has since been made famous as it's the first time they mentioned the "Hard at Work" potential album name.

  13. The first reunion/Neighborhoods hype experience was off the charts for me.

David Kennedy leaking the info about them getting back together and recording a new album was insane. I remember being on AP.net that day, all of us losing our fucking minds.

I didn't listen to any of the pre-release singles because I wanted the whole album to be new and fresh for me. Blink's albums had always aligned perfectly with my musical growth/taste, so I was so stoked to see where this new one would go!

I finally hit play and listened through the entire album in my car with my younger brother, looking over the city. When the album ended, I was a deflated balloon and remember saying "Well, that was... okay I guess?" and all my brother could say was "...yeah..." hahaha. That was the first time since Dude Ranch where Blink-182's music and my personal taste didn't sync up perfectly, and it was so disheartening.

That's when I realized that even our favorite bands can put out a dud, and to keep expectations mid-level from there on out.

I remember my older cousin writing down the lyrics to Dammit for me after hearing it on local radio
I remember saving up allowance to buy NOW 3 which had What's My Age Again
I remember then buying Dude Ranch which due to those big bull balls got some looks
I remember bugging the guy in charge of CD's at Target "when is TOYPAJ" coming out?
I remember getting this poster and not realizing for years the inuendo[IMG]

I remember TOYPAJ coming out and my dad being cool listening to it in the car with him, whereas my mom had no idea
I remember Untitled coming out on the night of my friend's birthday party and all we were talking about was how cool Down sounded, and soon after seeing Blink on TRL playing a cold night in NYC
I remember going through a break up and the only decent thing in my life was the release of Neighborhoods, and I willed into existence a fondness for half that album
I remember Dogs Eating Dogs releasing online and being truly baffled with the rap interludes and some other weird transitions
I remember wanting California to be good because I loved ALK3 and being terribly let down
I remember NINE surpassing my expectations, which were pretty low after California

    Naked in Manhattan.

Exact same situation for me. Those early albums rule.

California for me. So many memories from that time. big changes in my life and going for some big dreams. I played bored to death an ungodly amount of times, I was moving across the country the week the album dropped and had it on repeat most of the drive.

Second is definitely untitled. I watched the trl rooftop performance live. lol wore the t shirt long sleeve combo every day that year for the tom hype.

worst is nine. that rollout was so so bad. the day the album dropped i was very stoked on first listen though.

Never seen that footage of Tom recording the verses of I Miss You. Crazy how he can sing like that in the studio but never used half that effort live lol.

For better or worse, I kind of feel like this one is it. There’s an excitement and anxiety about it all that I haven’t felt in ages. And the occasional thread going off the rails has been fun.

First week of shows gets fucked for no reason. Unless they don't plan of performing it, which would be wild

It would be weird to tease a bunch two weeks out then nothing the following week. Hopefully we get something
