New Deafcult is cool but I can’t exactly say it was what I was hoping for from them.

 

I quite enjoyed my first few listens. Complete curveball. Was not expecting something so dark. Kind of reminds me of Just Mustard in some moments.

 

Yeah like it’s music I love but man I just can’t help having Auras in the back of my head. It’s one of my favourite albums and the complete stylistic change to something this dark has thrown me for a loop. Gonna need more time to digest it.

Just finished my first listen of the new Deafcult. I like it a lot but it really is completely different than Auras. I think the description on Hobbledehoy's site is very fitting:

"Future Of Illusion takes an unexpected and important left turn. If Auras was the dream, Illusion is the nightmare."
