MxPx's latest album makes waiting for new blink fairly easy. And that's not a knock against blink.

 

I love Skiba but a lot of his shouts,especially on NINE sounds like from 5th grader haha

 

His shouts are cool on "Cynical" but grating when they're too often/the whole song, like on "The First Time."

 

Tom Delonge is in this band guys. Let’s remember who we’re critiquing haha.

Bottom tier. Never really dug that song, and I don't listen to it when I listen to Nine since it's not on my CD or on Spotify, haha. And the Skiba "wooooah" background vocals are soooo overdone throughout so many of the songs he was a part of with Blink. This song in particular is a nice little bopper, but when Matt's "woooah ohh" parts come in, it sours it, to me.

 

I know I have basically just made joke posts lately, but this thread got wild today.

 

I critique bad Tom singing, too.

 

Blink really needs to do something if this thread is gonna start hating on Skiba yells/shouts. His vocals on NINE are immaculate across the board

I feel like today's been a lot more tame that I would have expected if you told me last Friday that we wouldn't be getting anything for ANOTHER week haha

 

I rarely check FB but someone posted a "nine is trash" meme in Blink 182 Fans the other day and I was heartened that most of the comments shut that down

The biggest bummer of the Skiba era is the trove of songs we haven't heard. Want NINE deluxe, the Lockdown remote songs they did with Feldman, and all the pre-Feldman demos.

 

I love Skiba's shouts, just wish he was shouting on better songs!

Been living off of new Rancid and Yellowcard to curb my blink excitement.

 

I go from 'Eh, happy to wait' to 'Hurry the fuck up' to 'It'll come when it comes' so quickly I don't know what to think anymore. Right now I'm selfishly like "Really? Another fucking week?"

Especially cos' the breadcrumbs from Mark and Tom over the last few days got us all amped for something today/tomorrow/Friday, etc.

Still on the hype train, but fuck it's a frustrating ride sometimes.
