Really? I feel like it's in the top 5, but their catalog is too stacked to have that one too high up. Also, just my opinion.

    Can back this idea.

You can defend Tom just by pointing out Burn After Writing every time,

especially because Greg sings the better part of the harmonies on that song

    What's your top 3?

  4. Casey's like my favorite song of all time. Sun Hotel #2 from their acoustic tape means a lot to me as well. I'd probably round out the top 5 with Burn After Writing, In Remission, and Lookers.

Man, that's a good top 5. I agree with it, but I would have to put Good Things and Gates in there. Looks like I'd have to drop out Burn After Writing out of the top five haha.

I think we can all agree that Lookers is a banging track though.

I really need to listen to Chamberlain; Impossible and Rented just have such endless replay value for me.

Only listened to Chamberlain once all the way through and definitely worth your time, but it's hard to top the next two records. It's more of like a "Oh I see how they got there" kind of thing for me now, though.

  11. Without including Sun Hotel #2 because it's a non-album track (and also basically a Leonard Cohen song) I'd probably throw Gates in too. Such an incredible, important discography.

I'm just hoping that Epitaph is having us wait because they are gearing up some sort of massive marketing cycle and the Menzingers will hit the pop airwaves somehow and all will be right in the world.

Chamberlain Waits is an awesome record. Definitely give that some more run.

I think that @Michael Schmidt was talking about that earlier in the thread. Definite Possibility. That and I think the whole vinyl delays seems reasonable too.

I Can't Seem to Tell took me forever to appreciate, just because of the record sequencing. But it is a fantastic song.

Asshole was the song that got me into the Menz

Wish they did more harmonies like Burn.

Think I remember reading them saying that Yip had them add some harmonies on the record? Excited to hear those.

Top 10 for me in no particular order because it changes all the time

    Gates
    Asshole
    Transient Love
    Where Your Heartache Exists
    Obituaries
    Casey

    Lookers

Also is it bad that I can't decide which version of Asshole is better between the album version and this:

alright he's got one good song, does that mean he's got to take up half the album? he should just write like 1-2 good tom songs per record at most.

Like seriously every time Transient Love ends and The Talk starts I am sad.

Making a top 5 for this band is tough. Probably something like this:
    Gates
    Casey
    Mexican Guitars
    In Remission
    Transient Love
