Same. I’ve more or less liked all the Youth Lagoon albums but this is EXACTLY what I always hoped for after Hibernation.

Pretty sure it’s my second favorite Youth Lagoon record. Nothing is ever topping The Year of Hibernation, that’s a perfect album.

idk, honestly, maybe that everything just feels overly subdued? that might be the intention though? i wanna give it another listen in a better environment than being At Work lol

It’s veryyyyy close to perfect for me. Just wish I liked Deep Red Sea just a little more.

  12. My mouth is on fire
    But nobody sees me
Salt of the earth, so sprinkle it easy
There was love in the house, believe me
    Drink by the water
    Fear is my only daughter
And ever since she was born
    She's had freezin' skin
    But her eyes are warm
    And her heart is spilling
    Pale, white, sick, and thin
    The drugstore killing
My voice is gone and it used to be so strong

"Trapeze Artist" is absolutely bodying me this morning, maybe my song of the year
