I think Picketts rookie season was only bad if you focus on his basic stat line for the season. But you actually watched him, he was limiting mistakes, making better ball decisions, showing more poise and control of things. They were also a half game out of the playoffs. It wasn’t a good rookie season by any means, but he was improving, and you want a rookies arrow pointing up going into year two.

 

Also, I’m rewatching Ted Lasso, and season 3 absolutely sticks the landing. All you haters are poo-peh.

I just saw an offense that was keeping him out of pressure situations. I dont think he made a ton of mistakes but it’s hard to really know how good he is until this year when they’ll probably put more on his plate.

Smart QB with a below average arm that is trusted to be a game manager but not open things up and take control. That has all the makings of an elite journeyman.
