DJ Reader in 2016 was the Texans last meaningful R5 pick (was actually a Pats R5 pick), and it's been longer since then for a player that stuck around longterm

 

Idk if it’s good or if it’s going all-in(ish) too soon, but I’m a little jealous that the Texans are trying to be good right now as opposed to the Colts trying to be bad

 

I really think the Texans will surprise people but I also don't think I know what that means, like would 7-10 be that surprising idk, but people seem to think they sold their souls for Will Anderson and are giving the Cards a top 3 pick and I don't buy that

 

Yeah teams can pretty much buy picks by that point if they really like someone

 

I think its just a proactive move to get better depth OL because Stroud is gonna need it year one, like we might have the worst backup OL in the league before trades and whatever waiver moves are made

 

The amount of people who hate the Texans taking Will is stupid.

Okay? So let's say they didn't. They go into the next draft needing *drum roll* an edge rusher. Except now they're taking a worse prospect instead of the best player in the draft.

Will is gonna be my favorite player for awhile

Pretty much the complete package between motor, leadership and production

I just can't see him failing, he's too driven (as corny as it sounds)

 

I hate that I can't hate the Texans

Less that they'd want them and more that without JT their RB room is bad, and adding a steady veteran presence to take like 30% of the work is smart...especially when both are on vet-min level deals

 

If/when the Colts trade JT, they're a STRONG contender for the worst offense in the league.

I guess that is one criticism of Shanny is he can be too head strong at times
