There is probably an easy way to figure this out and/or someone somewhere already has, but I wonder how many episodes of Raw/SD open and close with the same people a certain number of episodes in a row.

like, I gotta imagine Bloodline open/close most Smackdowns for the last two years. Probably not every single one, but I wonder what the longest streak has been. And like, back in the day I wonder how often Austin ended Raw, etc.

 

Gable’s got to be one of the biggest turnarounds since turning babyface. He could always go in the ring but Alpha Academy seemed like a doomed gimmick around this time last year.

 

There is an issue of it being just a supersized Collision instead of a big PPV. Maybe they should reroute to Now Arena instead of the UC.

Like, they’re obviously going to add Punk vs somebody but the biggest match right now is Darby/Luchasaurus and that’s a Rampage match from a year ago.

 

Feel like Otis growing a beard again helped as well lol

Separately, I haven’t been paying super close attention but feel like Judgment Day vs Sami/Kevin/Cody has happened a few times now and if true will be interesting to see how long this feud goes for since I don’t see it helping either group. Can’t build up Judgment Day if you have them lose to those 3 a lot and can’t have those 3 a lot if you want to keep the tag belts meaningful and keep Cody’s trajectory upward

 

Judgment Day is collateral damage until Roman & Cody have their rematch. Raw's top heel is Gunther, who has a mdicard belt that he will never lose & Finn/Priest never pick up any meaningful wins except for the briefcase.

Saving grace is that the shows have been going over well live despite that. Midcarders are getting reactions again & KO/Sami/Cody/Seth vs. JD or Imperium has been reliable as a main event in house. They gotta shake things up soon, though. Shinsuke facing Seth is something.

 

Wrestlequest is getting pretty terrible reviews but this steam review is at least entertaining

I just realized we were planning on coming back from my in-laws during my daughters nap time (usually noon-ish) on Sunday; we'll be moving that up so Im home in time for the kangaroo kick
