This feels a little too much like Wet Leg, it’s eerily similar.

 

I can't get over how much I love this new song.

Like "Never Say Never" by Romeo Void but for Gen Z.

She's got that it factor in spades. First it was the break in "Bloodsucker, fame fucker" and now it's the absolutely perfect triplet cadence in "really can't remember when". It's that shit that really separates people who have The Stuff.

 

Finally listened to the new song just now and I think it rules! It really grew on me by the end. I’ll need to read the lyrics though to figure out what she’s singing. Super fun song and video.

 

I hate to tell you, but Wet Leg aren't the first women to speak with urgency over guitar riffs.

It’s weird to see some people not like this or need it to grow on ‘em. I threw it on and immediately was like, “this rules!” lol. So fun and cool and shit.

 

I really want her to stretch it out live and have a sax break in the bridge and do the "I might like you better if we slept together" chorus. It would rule.

 

very aware, wet leg had a buzzy album within the last couple years and it’s similar sounding. I know people get defensive with her after the Taylor/Costello/Paramore accusations from the first record, my apologies.

I love influences! I'm just saying listen to Blondie or PJ Harvey or The Sugarcubes. It's deeper than ripping something off from a year ago.
