Man city need to add 2-3 players before the deadline

    It's all hell.

City look like they're still trying to figure out how to go forward without the players from last year/KDB, but defensively they look impenetrable. I'm not sure many teams will get through at all this year.

    Also, Foden is stupidly good.

End the league now, amirite? @bigmike

Also, was Pep sending a message not using any subs despite City playing 90 minutes in midweek?

    hmmm

I didn't watch the match (yet) but looking at that bench I'd wager he simply didn't trust any of them enough to bring them on in such a tight situation against a very competitive Newcastle team. He's done that enough times in the past for me to think that in close games he preternaturally sticks with those players he trusts instead of risking loss of control over a lottery sub.

Turns out that it's not just in close games, I've just seen elsewhere that he used the least subs out of all teams last season. That's when he had depth, too, of course.

  7. Yeah so I’m definitely not going to have enough patience to deal with Bruno and Rashford in FPL lol

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I thought it odd seeing it on MoTD too. Looked to me that both players were sort of stretching for the ball and kicked each other. MacAllister had the slightly higher boot, but it wasn't out of control or aggressive so far as I could see.

After watching both United games this season, I'm inclined to say like many others that the team as a whole hasn't exactly passed the eye test. That said, if you delve ever so deeper, Fernandes has been creating still and to be completely fair to him he should have scored/had a penalty today. In regards to Rashford, he's shown glimpses of pace and skill in a United side which seems to lack either of those attributes right now. Yeah, those two attributes aren't rewarded in Fantasy, but good form is however.

The return of Højlund shouldn't be overlooked here either as that should improve both of the aforementioned prospects; Rashford will be back to his natural position and in theory Fernandes will have a true focal point leading the line.

In hindsight, picking both was probably a mistake on your part, but if you're stuck with them then I'd at least give them the Forest game. If neither get returns again, I'd look to sell one pre-Arsenal. As it stands, I'd lean towards shifting Rashford if I had to go down the same route. A 9.0 player who isn't getting returns and doesn't have any set pieces just isn't my music. I'd definitely rather be a Fernandes owner than a Rashford one right now anyway.

  10. I already dumped Bruno but I’m in on Rashford long haul because I know what his ceiling is when he’s in his natural position. I know Bruno will bring returns eventually but it’s early enough in the season where I’ll make a move and keep some money in the bank just in case.

Here's a take for the Spurs mob in this thread: Conte had 16 of the 20 players in Spurs squad today available to him if he never sent any of loan.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

But they’re all bad and he can’t do anything with them.

  14. Bissouma was missing all of last season and now looks like one of the best midfielders in the league.

I’d like to see Shaq Moore get another run on the right side for the USMNT.

The WWC final being at 6am is making staying up for the second half feel a smidge less appealing.

That ball over the top by Busquets was 2000% experience. Can’t believe Campana missed that.
