Biden is really unpopular too, people are desperate for a better option.

I remember I posted a January 6th meme and a friend replied "why? what happened January 6th?"

A lot of people don't know, don't care what's going on.

Ain't gonna happen though. Short of one of them dying in the next year, it's going to be a 2020 rematch. I know most people aren't paying attention now, but I can't imagine anyone who voted in 2020 is going to switch their vote. At least not in any significant number. Which is why I'm skeptical of the idea of the "undecided voter."

Any "undecided" or "independent" voter is just a Republican haha, like no one is like I know this guy committed treason but let me see what he thinks about reproductive rights

Every single one of those Disney live-action remakes has been a box-office hit, so I'd say that's a pretty terrible bet.

"Listen, I'll be the first to tell ya that Trump's got a foul mouth, and all his yappin about a stolen election is nonsense. But I'll be darned if I gotta pay more than $4 a gallon for gas again, so imma just hold my nose and vote for him, and I'll pray every night that God will give him the strength to rise to the occasion"

Doesn't feel like anyone is really taking this storm seriously. Tried to tell my parents the winds are going to be crazy, and it's going to be dangerous, get some supplies ready, and they were like yeah it looks like we'll get a little rain. No one at work seems to care. We're quite a bit further north, but San Diego officials just released a statement that was like "this is real, you need to take this seriously, this will be unlike anything we've experienced".

Yeah I think while frequency could increase in some areas/cases, the bigger thing is the intensity of the storms.

I work for NJ's Department of Environmental Protection and we just implemented new rules last month to ensure new developments and redevelopments are designed for future impacts. One of main things it does is require that stormwater management basins and practices be designed to manage runoff from future storms by accounting for future projected precipitation data (instead of data from 1999 as the old rules did). Each county has a change factor based on studies conducted for the state and in some cases the precipitation for a 100-year storm is projected to increase 50% by 2099. New jersey was already stricter in our flood and stormwater rules than most other states as far as I know so it's good we're going even further
