I'm still blown away the How to Draw didn't make it onto this tracklist

 

idk where I would put How To Draw on the tracklist though, she lays down has to be last imo.

 

I listened to this today for the first time in a month or so. Definitely a special album.

 

Ballad is my favorite song on the album and might be my favorite 1975 song overall. It just does something to me

 

Ballad might be my favorite on here at this point. It's still competing with the title track and This Must Be My Dream, all excellent songs

 

My partner surprised me and bought me this on vinyl the other night.

Yeah, after listening to it more I agree. I would either put it first or not at all (and the 1975 is a perfect opener within the context for their discography).

I'm going to think of it as an Epilogue rather than a B-side then.

 

I totally disagree with my past self, the middle section is awesome. This is one of my favourite albums of the year.

 

I finally got in to the debut but it's insane to me how much better this album is

 

I think "Somebody Else" might be their best song

This won't be my AOTY but it's an amazing record that is such an improvement upon their first (which is a great record in and of itself). Somebody Else might be my favorite song to come out this year.

 

Only thing that might displace this from my #1 now is Integrity Blues

Honestly though, as much as I'm anticipating IB, I don't think it'll top this. At this point I'd be very surprised if anything could. A lot of times you see albums that came out early in the year placing lower on year end lists because it's been so long, but it's been the opposite for me with this one; iliwys had months to sink in before anything even remotely challenged it.
