Having been to Geodis and Nissan on back to back days recently… Geodis is MUCH nicer and more enjoyable to be at right now.

This does not have me hopeful for World Cup 2026 pricing.

 

Imagine a city building the largest soccer-specific stadium in the country and then moving its local team’s biggest ever home match to a different stadium.

 

This Greenwood thing is so grim. Also, in that long statement from United, did they talk about the victim and his partner/child combo as though they're different people? It's the same woman, right?

Whole situation is so sickening. This feels a bit like the super league thing, where they just aren't correctly anticipating the size of the backlash. It's even more perplexing that it's a club of the scale and standing of United who are pissing around with this. Get rid.

 

What it's made me realise is that I could quite easily do PR for a multi billion pound organisation. I'm in the wrong line of work...

I think so. Chelsea are massively using the amortisation loophole to be able to fund their scattergun recruitment. If they sell a player (particularly one which isn't amortised), it's dispropriationately helpful in the short term.

I can't see how this is going to result in anything other than Chelsea either going bust when Boely realises he's completely misunderstood how football works or a massive load of FFP related penalties. Even with the 8 year contracts they're using, when you add up what they've spent they must be getting on for £100m a year just to deal with the last 2 summer windows (and that's going to be like that for years). They have to settle down at some point, surely?

Either that or they need to make some profits on players (which they were quite decent at under the previous owner).
