    u wut m8?

Three Minutes More is exactly how I wish other bands would incorporate a guest vocalist. Vic did the same thing with Kellin from SWS for King for a Day

  2. Made me think of The Deepest Well too

As someone who prefers Lift A Sail and S/T to their earlier stuff, I think this EP is a really good continuation of those later albums, while also obviously returning to their earlier sound as well. It's really well balanced, but far and away Honest from the Jump is my favourite, and I think it would fit right in on either LaS or S/T

I’m sorry but Honest From The Jump is some Gifts & Curses level of song

Just checked this. Really surprised at how good it is. I think the single is my least favourite track here, and even then I think its a decent but unspectacular song.

I just hope next they come to the UK, it’s not just another Ocean Avenue tour. I’ve seen them four times here and once in the US, and four of those sets were OA full album plays lol.

I'd actually agree with this. I dug the song Childhood Eyes when it was released, until I heard the rest of the EP. Still enjoy Childhood Eyes, but it is probably at the bottom of my ranking right now. I'm an oddball, though. I felt the same way when Here I Am Alive was released as a single. I was very "meh" about that song, but when Southern Air (the record) came out, I was blown away.

Three Minutes More reminds me of Stay Posi (Silverstein ft Ryan) from that Take Action Split with how they're trading vocals during the verses

What an amazing EP, damn. How can they be so good at what they do? This band is above anything else in the pop-punk world. So happy that these songs are part of my soundtrack this summer.

First listen didn't do much for me, but this has grown on me substantially with each subsequent listen. Fun stuff.

Has anyone’s vinyl shipped from the Equal Vision store yet? I received my digital copy on Friday, which was great, but there doesn’t seem to be any movement on my physical media.

How great is Nate as a drummer though? His sound and technique has been so critical to their sound since Lift a Sail.

Dude came to play on this EP, Three Minutes More in particular. Maybe the best drumming on a YC song since the Lift a Sail era.

  16. Saw them last night in Seattle, they said it might have been their biggest show ever, over 7,000. Band sounded incredible and I loved the storytelling between songs. Only bummer was a fight broke out during Rough Landing Holly that meant the song didn't get finished, but the band were class acts about calling out the venue for not doing enough to help. It was a great night. I hope all this success and exposure leads to people checking out their 2010s material because damn I felt like people didn't know any of the Southern Air songs they played.

I know Ryan reads this thread so just know I'm so happy y'all are back and better than ever!

People who fight at shows are the worst. There was a fight in the pit at the FOB show in Toronto last weekend during Calm Before the Storm. Band stopped the song just before the first chorus and restarted when security broke it up

  18. turns out it wasn't a fight but that someone passed out and no one in security was there to help at all, took forever for EMTs to get there. I wasn't close by and heard yelling, thought it was a fight.

but agreed, people that fight at shows are the worst.

I love this thing. I’m an extremely casual Yellowcard fan and there is probably more Yellowcard music that I don’t care for than do, but this EP is a blast.

This EP came out of nowhere for me and I am loving it. Best pop punk release in recent memory.

Played through the EP on vinyl today after not having listened in a few weeks and wow these songs are SO GOOD. 5/5. So happy to have this release from the boys.

I’ve had Childhood Eyes and The Maine's self titled on repeat since they came out.

"Hiding in the Light" is still the highlight for me here but I really do love all of the songs.

I've been revisiting Sigur Ros's "Valtari" lately, and the melody line of Eg Anda always reminds me of the hook from "Honest from the Jump"

Woke up with Honest From The Jump stuck in my head. Best song on the ep.
