Luckily most artist I want to see these days don't do arena/amphitheater tours. I'm pretty much club shows or bust at this point, mostly due to the ridiculous cost of going to big shows and it helps I can go to like 3 club shows for the price of 1 Foo Fighters or blink concert.

 

Us Americans have such weird ways of measuring converting things.

“it’s one eras tour which is like 3 arena shows but each arena show is worth 3 club shows and each one of those is the equivalent of 6 DIY basement shows”

I bet the metric system doesn’t have these problems

 

Anyone have any idea what Green Day is teasing on their socials for the Dookie 30 year anniversary? Hoping its a tour but wouldn't be surprised if it just ended up being a vinyl re-issue or something.

 

I'm thinking vinyl and lots of merch. Doubt there will be a tour, but it would be a nice surprise.

 

I hope they do some festivals shows for it, crossing my fingers for Riot

 

They did it as a surprise at one festival for the 20th anniversary, I believe. In the middle of their regular set, they were like "we're gonna play Dookie now" and then back to the regular set afterwards.

 

Im really hoping they do something for the 20th anniversary of American Idiot too. A show with those albums in full would be a dream

Based on the teasing and impending new album, this is what I’m assuming.

Deluxe vinyl and streaming release with a bunch of demos and a live set (probably from Berkeley based on the latest IG post). Plus a bunch of re-released merch designs from that era.

Probably releasing in early 2024, TBH.

 

I bet it’ll only be a remaster/deluxe reissue, but I’d welcome some anniversary shows, of course

 

Apparently it’s a 6LP set and $150 but we’ll officially find out tomorrow.

 

It’s a vinyl re release with demos and 2 live shows that’s coming out the end of September

 

Would love another dookie show. I happened to be at one of the surprise ones in 2013 then they did it at a few festivals as well.

 

Not sure I want to live in a place where WTK is ever preferred over FYS. No matter the circumstances.

Going to the Philly show tomorrow, about gave me a heart attack lol. Especially when I can't check my tickets rn bc of Ticketmaster's nightly maintenance. Spot check a couple and their still on sale. But I see ur in ABQ so assuming it's that show. Hopefully just downsizing, the underoath /TGI ny show got downsized from live nations 6k to their 1.2k.

Regardin Dookie 30th anniversary. The email at the end says: "p.s. there's SO SO SO much more to come this year + next. This is only the beginning " So hopefully some shows

 

i envy some of you going to so many shows. i wish i still had the energy for it lol. i've got louder than life next month and the wonder years in october but that's it for the rest of the year.
