Basically not at all. I think it's probably less than the community shield because at least that is between domestic rivals 99% of the time.

Can be a fun game though. I remember one a decade ago where Atletico absolutely sledgehammered Chelsea that was great.

Read that whole Olise/tapping up thing and I really don’t think Chelsea have done much wrong. Or at least, they haven’t based on the information in the article.

These days, personal terms are almost always at least roughly outlined before the actual transfer deal. And in this case, Chelsea knew there was a release clause they could meet, so Crystal Palace were basically irrelevant id the personal terms were agreed.

Twellman ignoring Busquets for 90% of this spiel is wild like he’s not one of the greatest midfielders ever.

No idea how a Miami might do against Monterrey should they make it to the final, but I can’t see Nashville being that much more of a handful for Miami than Philly were tonight.

I think I'm going to try and get tickets to Miami-Nashville. I 100% can't afford it, but I mean... it's Messi in a final.

Laporte going to Saudi Arabia is not exactly what I expected for his next move.

All because Lenglet fell through apparently.

  22. This was the disallowed goal from last night. It's a shame because it's a beautiful goal. At least Nashville still won.

I can kinda see why it was disallowed after looking at it again. Yeah, the offside player doesn't affect the trajectory, touch the ball, or appear in the keeper's line of sight. But I suppose the reasoning is, he made the run which put him offside with the intentions of receiving a crossing ball to put a header on. As he ran in, he gave a little jump but clearly backed off. The argument to make is that just by making the run for a potential header, it throws off the keeper and decreases his ability to make a save.

But it's still a stretch for me. The keeper dove without hesitation to make a save on a shot.

Yeah, I'm going to say it's pretty clear the referee thinks the keepers view was obstructed.

  24. Ok. We all need to root for him to pick United after Liverpool makes a successful bid.
