I love the band and album but that’s totally fair. I’ve been turned off on music/shows/movies for this exact reason before giving them an honest chance and coming around on them.

 

yeah after hearing the hype for it I finally listened a few months after and came out and was just kinda let down. It’s good but I prefer ATP and HE way more.

 

I hope everyone is ready for the Menzingers Vs. Gaslight production discourse

The Gaslight production discourse is going to suck even without The Menzingers being a part of it.

 

my denim jacket is NOT prepared for this album and Gaslight to come out 2 weeks apart. Psyched

 

I’m a Yip truther. Except for Balance and Composures TWTWM. That needs a remaster

The chorus feels kinda more tom than Greg to me

 

The gaslight production is fine. People need to chill.

OTIP will always be their masterpiece to me. The fact that ATP comes sooooo close is kind of a miracle. The rest of their albums are just plain old A grade best record by almost any other band in history kind of works.

RW is definitely the one I connect with the least. But has very high highs. HE is their most consistent front to back but lacks those amazing peaks that all their other records have.

 

Rented World is my favorite Menz album and these two singles are the most promising I've heard from them since, so I'm super stoked.

 

I think HE is their most cohesive album. It doesn't have the highest of Menzingers high's but I think it's my favourite album of theirs, front to back.

 

HE is a fantastic album that has the unfortunate task of following After the Party, which is also a fantastic album. No skips on either.

I like HE a lot but I hope the new album has more bite to it. My biggest issue with it was how mellow it is with with few moments where the energy level picks up, making it a bit monotonous

 

Like the first single more than the second, ATP is my favorite sounding Menz, OTIP second, and Gates is their best song. I think I've caught up on the last few pages. Oh, ATP > OTIP > HE > RW, haven't listened to any pre-OTIP stuff.
