Can 100% confirm playing anything pre Ocean Ave absolutely kills the crowd, every single time. The very very very small amount of people who know the songs are super stoked, but that percentage of the total crowd is incredibly low.

Caught the SLC show and it was killer as always. Surreal yet again to see them playing in a venue so big, but we were up in the pit and it still managed to feel like a classic YC show.

No idea what the economics of live releases are these days but damn I would love a soundboard recording of this show. Such a great set list and the band is sounding as tight as ever.

Also, With You Around is their best live song by a country mile and they have loads of amazing live songs. It’s just so damn jumpable and fun. And the extended intro always gets me hyped.

I’m happy the tour is almost over because it means we’re that much closer to the next one, which will surely have a Toronto date. Ain’t that right, @williamryankey?

Saw this tour last night in Indy. YC and other bands were great, but my god that crowd was trash except for one dude front and center jamming to every song. I'm older now, but it feels weird to go to a show and just.... Give nothing back to the band.

It was really weird. Maybe it's just a part of their crowds getting older? Definitely bummed me out.

Echoing everyone else in the thread who’s been to this tour: they were absolutely phenomenal tonight. Welcome back.

Saw them in Phoenix a few weeks ago. Had a blast. They put on a great show. Seemed like only the hits. With You Around was so good. I wish I could have gotten a shirt, but the line was absolutely insane. Plus we had the kids with us and they were too out of it when we left (thanks Loop! Your earplugs can get a kid to take a nap during a rock show. We probably should have factored in the time change into making it through the entire concert ).

Merch line was nuts at Worcester too. I bought one of the Ocean Ave street signs, I've wanted one since the final 2016 tour but they were sold out by my show. So stoked to have gotten one 7 years later

They were great in Worcester, though I'm starting to question whether I want to do shows at the Palladium Outdoors in the future just because I'm short and the sight lines for me are pretty awful everywhere. Great food options, though.

Bands kept talking about how great the crowd was throughout the night, but really, I had the opposite experience. I'd say at least a third left in the first half of Yellowcard's set, and despite being in the front third or so of the crowd, I heard next to no reaction to anything but "Way Away", "Only One", and Ocean Avenue." Lots of people clearly there for one-song nostalgia. It was a bummer.

Does the violin player still do backflips? Haven't seen them since like 2001.

Definitely agree about the crowd. My friend and I bought the VIP section tickets; the group behind us talked and yelled at each other most of the set, and the group in front of me stood in a circle staring at their phones the entire time. Just an odd vibe around us the entire time. We still had fun, though!

I truly cannot figure this kind of stuff out..... not trying to sound like a gatekeeper in any way, but who the hell goes to a concert just to hear one or two songs?!?! Seems like a waste of money.

I'll never understand that logic. Same thing goes for bands like Underoath, where a good chunk of the crowd is only there to hear "It's Dangerous Business...", "Reinventing Your Exit", and "Writing on the Walls" and then just stand there and talk or leave. The bands have to play those songs to get those nostalgia dollars though. Sucks

Well and the other thing that gets me is - it's one thing to go and really only know and be "into" a few songs.

But ultimately, you paid to see live music. I understand the angle of "I paid for the ticket, I can do what I want while I'm there" - but scrolling through your phone and/or just talking through a set is SO inconsiderate. Why even bother going?

I guess it's just indicative of people that are don't truly appreciate live music. Even if I am seeing a band for the first time, or an artist whose catalog I am not familiar with, I want to listen and enjoy it. Respect the artist, possibly find a new favorite song or artist that you hadn't heard before, or just simply BEING in the moment.

You can sit at home and do the infinite social media scroll for free.

Going to the show tomorrow in Hershey - and super stoked. I haven't seen Yellowcard since 2006(!)

What have normal set times been like? Venue website says show starts at 7 - should I assume that's when the Emo Night DJ set starts? I have a work meeting until 5 so will be cutting it a bit close to get there.

I’m fuzzy on the times from yesterday but I think the first band went on around 7. Emo nite played in between sets, and Yellowcard went on at 930
