I got my Fireworks tracking number the same day you got yours. Only mine finally had movement last Wednesday haha. What a company!

 

Visited Chicago for a wedding this weekend and happened upon one of the Reckless Records shops. Nice haul!

Aside from the original pressings, I thought the only official press was the RSD picture disc from 2020. A boot perhaps?

I have the picture disc and really didn't expect much from it but it actually sounded decent (along with the Wild Mood Swings pic disc the year after).

I should spin it again but I've got to be in one of those "moods" to listen to Bloodflowers. One of their best albums though!

 

I'm curious if the band is even involved, or if it's just a cash grab by Epitaph. I already have an older press of both Piano Island and that that 7", so I might pass, too.

You're correct on there having been nothing official beyond the picture disc. I was hoping they'd follow the same pattern they've been doing for others where they do an RSD picture disc, followed by a black 180g version later.

 

Selling a copy of the new pressing of the movielife has a gambling problem if anyone's interested!

 

It looks like for the press release for BPIB Jordan talks about the album. So I'm sure they're aware of it. There's an Epitaph variant as well.

As for The Cure. I didn't want to take the chance of there not being a standard black so just bit the bullet on Bloodflowers and Wild Mood Swings. However when I saw that there was a EU pressing of Wish alongside the Picture Disc, I spent the extra cash and got the standard 180g. As that is my favourite Cure album.

A Letter to Elise is one of my Top 10 songs ever.

 

yeah I was surprised by the WMS pic disc sounding better than I thought it would. Still holding out for an old copy of Disintegregation

this (bloodflowers) is the white boot from 2022 according to Discogs. Testing on 'The Last Day of Summer' and it sounds quite good.

 

ah yeah that's a tiny one but always fun to visit

the best one is the one in Wicker Park - huge store so much good rare stuff

Yeah that's a steep price tag. If I didn't own it already. I'd pull the trigger because like I said it's one of my all time favorite albums.

I've seen them twice in my life and it was touring BPIB, the second time I saw them they were playing songs off Crimes but it wasn't out for another year. I was lrobably the only one in the crowd spitting the lyrics back to Johnny and Jordan back then haha.
